Some of the guys I've met with evos....*sigh*. So, what's the boost set at right now? "I dunno" Do you have any plans for anything? "I dunno" Is it low on blinker fluid? "I bet so, I haven't checked in a while"

You're certainly right, doing things yourself is the only way to learn. Reading for hours on end still didn't prepare me entirely for putting the turbo on.

It's not just evo's though, it's with anything...friend bought a cobalt SS...and I asked, so what turbo comes on those? Does it have an intercooler? What kind of oil are you using? Does it have a LSD? What is the Redline? Single or 2 cam?

His response..."I...uh, not sure, but I'm gonna put a cold air intake on it..."

ok so I think I found out my idel issue, my rom was completely jacked up and im not sure exactly what happened. So I used a rom from a 2003 evo 8. Right now the rom im using is going to be a complete evo 8 rom. Im going to take it slow from there and see how everything goes. I can lower the timing if I have knock issues but I got a good feeling im going to have less problems tomorrow!!! I will keep everyone posted about the new test rom.

What part was jacked up? So your basically starting over from scratch? Why not just copy over the values from the evo 8 rom that will fix your idle issue?

ok guys there was a misunderstanding I thought zulu had an extra ported head with the motor im buying off him, but hes actually using it for his car so the head won't be for sale unless zulu can get another one.

I already started on my evo 8 interior. I bought these parts for $20.00 which was a steal. Zulu ill be sending 40 probably by tomorrow.

well little update running 12 pounds is pretty cool still having a little bit of idling issues im almost there to solving the clue, my afrs dont drop as low and my stalling isnt that bad. im going to keep playing with the stepper values and if that doesnt work I will tweak the throttle body screw and open up the butterfly a little bit more for idle and increase the fuel so I dont lean out.

also installed my evo 8 wing, itsr really sick. I made one hole a little to big in the rear part because freaking ebay sellers cant tell me everything wrong with the spoiler "broken bolt in the back found out during install..." like me and my brothers say all idiots need a good A** wooping!

Damn ebay seller anyways , so you were stalling out? That happened to me the other day but it was my own fault. My work hosed me and I was pretty upset so I flew outta the parking lot and just baked my tires to redline through 2nd and 3rd. When I finally let off the car died I was like oh ****!!!!!. She fired right back up and never had another issue but I babied it the rest of the way home.
