YES overfilling the tranny is worse than under filling. Reason being is simply this you will have more pressure than your seals are made to handle meaning you will blow seals by overfilling. Just had to give someone a quote to replace there seals in there tranny because of this very thing. The grease you have for the clutch is most likely just to grease up your input shaft of your tranny and the center of your clutch disc so the input shaft slides nice and easy into the clutch disc. You WILL want to do this, I made the mistake a couple times early in my mechanical endeavers of not doing this and it can make mating the tranny to the block a PITA.

I hope this all goes well for you. Last night, I jokingly said "so, wife...I'm going to drive up to dallas and pick up a new engine, can you make sure to grab my dry-cleaning while I'm out?" Well...forum appropriate version, she didn't go for it, and I'll be less of a man if I try...literally...

*seriously though kids, violence is not the answer, this was all said in good fun*

Thats kinda funny I thought about running my car hard and trying to blow it up and buy that block. My wife would not go for the old "car wont start dunno" since I am working on a different car every few days lol. I also realized that engine would cost me a minimum $1000 over whatever your selling for since LSD would be mandatory for me then lol.

well I wont be installing the motor anytime soon need to save up money to get an engine hoist, so im willing to make some really good deals, if this is the case I can just buy pistons rods, bearings and rings and install these parts without taking out the motor. Plus trying to boost the car to 400+ would be amazing

+2 My hoist is actually hella nice and sturdy. Paid $100 for it off CL it was litterally brand new dude bought it and used it once for a project (actually to install an engine in his plane so you know he didnt buy a junk hoist) even came with a 2 ton load leveler. Just look for the deals

harbor freight like Demon said...I got mine with a coupon from I think Super Street mag. You have to assemble the one from harbor freight which took like 15 minutes.
