alright so big update so far, first I will start off with good news, just ran a GT mustang 99-04 model and I beat him by half a car length!!! I didnt realize how fast our cars are!!!

Still thinking about selling the motor = heres why I really want to run lower compression so I can run more boost and its easier to tune.

But if I still install this motor I got a company near buy who will help me do it probably for free... but heres the catch when they get thier dyno in for awd in six months I will have to tune a few evos for him to make up the cost because he doesnt have an evo tuner. But this could also mean I have a side job making more money and it would give me more tools to fix up the lancer.

Still knocking around 8 count "and yes its real I can feel the car pull back power" I need to lower the afrs in the 90-100 load area when it has to restart its power cycle because of gear shifting so I will do that later

Anyone want to buy a motor? If I can sell it I will attempt to build a faster lancer pushing 400-450 hp using pauter/crower rods. I will need to get another transmissionand alot more stuff as well. Do you think I can do it?

Just want to point something out Steven, although its probably real knock, the fact that the car is cutting power does not indicate that its real. Whether the knock is real or phantom the ecu is ALWAYS going to take it as real knock and cut timing accordingly resulting in a loss of power. This annoying factor is why I messed with my knock settings cause even though I confirmed some of my knock was fake my ecu would still cut timing and would hurt my power. So when I adjusted my settings and filtered out some of the fake knock I am able to keep the higher timing without the ecu screwing with my settings lol.

got my 2 step working and it sounds pretty sweet even though the boost builds to 3, its probably the spring. Change in plans installing the motor probably in 3 weeks not enough money...

so in this case if you guys want the pistons and rods seperate I can take those off so its still up for sale until I get all my motor parts, plus I have to get them anyway when I change out my old rods and pistons.

Do I need tranny fluid? not sure if I do since I have to take it off anyways to replace the clutch

so Im getting all my parts and fluids together

so far I have

-Dot 4 brake fluid
-50/50 radiator fluid
-All 3 new belts timing, pulley, and serpentine if there not the same
head gasket
-intake gasket - not sure why I got it I dont even think I had to pull out the -intake manifold but might as well replace it anyways
-got my ACT clutch rated to 400 lbs of torque
-need to get ARP moly or can I just use oil for the studs and make life easier so I dont have to wait.

Im also going to fill and flush my transmission fluid as well so everything is fresh in my car.

so im assuming manuals dont have a filter so here are the questions
-so what transmission fluid do you reccomend
-what do I use to flush the tranny
- where do I apply the act grease for my clutch

and is there anything else I need before I attempt the install tomorrow "well hopefully my friend will let me use his engine hoist so I can get the motor out unless you guys think I can get it out with out a hoist"

Yea... Don't do that. It's ARP Moly Fastener Assembly Lube on the studs or don't install them at all. It makes THAT much of a difference.
