I can't remember what you have now, but where is it leaking? This first item is what I contemplated getting, but instead I just cut the factory return hose, got some steel braided stuff, and a 1/2npt to 5/8 hose barb that has a 45 degree angle to it, to keep it from coming off just to be safe.

I think its the flange because its leaking like all over the wastegate, couplers, hosing just in that general area, I lost abou 1/4 of my oil in at least 2 weeks maybe more. Which is not bad from when I first had it. But I would prefer no leaks. I will probably go tighten the bolts down even more and see if that can fix the problem if not then its probably the flange this is the one i got before

Well dang, that's a serious leak....I found that my oil pan is leaking ever so slightly, but you gotta get that stuff fixed. Did you use a gasket around your flange? is it friction fit with a hose clamp or is it screwed on?

I'm not sure which turbo compressor outlet "jpipe" I have. I think it's from an 8. I looked online and saw that the 2 pipes are fairly similar, but now I'm concerned if I tear everything apart and the one i have doesn't fit that i will be down for the time until i get a replacement or the proper one.

I know each of you custom guys has had exp with this, and I remember 03lances needing to make a special extension to reach. What's the deal, as far as if i had a 8 or 9, what problems would i see...and i also see these big ol long ones, which I think go to aftermarket piping. Just curious, and want to make sure I'm good to go. The pipe does fit on the turbo with the WGA on there.

If you have a 8 turbo with the 8 j pipe and evo 9 piping then from my experience I needed to extend and go bigger since the 8 j pipe has a bigger outlet than the 9 j pipe. I believe it was a 1 1/2" to 2" adapter from home depot gave me the size and extension I needed to fit. I will look and verify the size to confirm and let you know. If you have the 9 j pipe with an 8 turbo you will have to get an 8 j pipe as the 9 will not work with the 8 turbo. I would imagine if you have the 8 fmic piping and the 8 turbo then you should be fine.

The 9 j pipe is basically the same diameter all the way through where the 8 j pipe get bigger at the end that connects to the fmic piping.

got my first "bite" on the Buick...hopefully it works out. If it sells I'll be starting the build as soon as I get the Scion to Austin.

1200 for a 97 Buick Century sounds like a fair price right? 170k miles with no A/C

Buick sale isn't going all that well. I've got it listed at 1500 for a working 97 buick, so I don't know what the deal is...it ought to sell. Whatever though, tonight, I'm going to try and take the exhaust mani off....and if that goes well, then I'm just going to keep taking things apart and do the install this weekend, and into next week while driving the buick. The "baddass bolt" that is hard to get to is my single biggest fear at this point.....

If thats your biggest concern is that bolt then you have it made, that bolt is easy to get out. I used the wrench then a screwdriver to pry and break it free. After that it was smooth extraction

alright, here's where i stopped tonight. I need to get cody to bring his angle grinder this weekend for the nub that has to come off the turbo, and he's bringing his welder so we can make the custom cat so i can keep the exhaust and downpipe stock.

Also, did you guys just use 2 screws on the battery tray here? I'm going to get 2 sheet metal screws to try and anchor it in a bit better.

As far as the air filter, I have concerns that my cone one is too long and might have to get a shorter K&N one. thoughts on the air filter? I have a samco tube, but with the tube, the maf, the adaptor, and the air filter...that seems like a ton of length that's gonna bump my headlight. I guess I'll just have to see tomorrow once I grind that turbo (why didn't i do this a month ago when i had nothing better to do....)

i just used 2 bolts there and some washers and tightened it down good and hard. never had a problem there.

as for the filteri had the injen one in there and it fit like a glove. if your concerned about size run to like oriellys or autozone or somehting and get a smaller cone there. but i really dont think you'll have an issue
