One more 16g thread - few questions
Nice man. I plan on running against my buddys rb25det powered 240sx now that I am becoming very satisfied with my tune. I have not had a chance to ride in it but am told its quick!!!!.
Mine is the same way although not as bad now with the new springs. I was actually getting quite annoyed with it to be honest. All that power just wasted burning up my tires lol. Better now though I can actually get on it in second when dry and it feels goooooooood
Haha Its Awesome after 60 thought !
Here's the lastest as far as AFR's, knock, Timing and estimated HP/Torq. I think the latest HP estimate is either off, or more probable is that the previous one was inaccurate. I also need to log less items to get more accurate sample rates I think, and that might make it more "legit" as far as estimated HP goes.
Tell me what you think if I should lean the AFRs or move on to Timing advancing. There is 1 or 2 counts of knock, and on the knock map that's showing maximums. I also did some looking, and it feels like from some testing, I go into boost right at 95-100% load.
Also, my IDC went up as high as 104%, so I guess my previous thoughts on the IDC being maxed at 100 isn't entirely correct. Still, for safeties sake, I should leave more of a buffer to prevent running outta fuel.

And just for fun, here's the same data put into Virtual Dyno. I'm thinking HP just steadily rises throughout the entire pull...so that means my timing might be too conservative down low in the RPM range, so I'll start increasing there, and see if it adds power of if I get knock. I don't really see a "sweet spot" like most dyno graphs do, so that says something about either the tune (more likely) or the camshaft (which although is slightly less aggressive than it could be, ought to make fine power).
Maybe I need to pusha da peda a litta soona, 2k rpm range....

Diff programs. Ecuflash works great for the lancer, evoscan works great for the lancer...but they do different things. Ecuflash will flash and pull roms, edit them, and help you do everything "rom related". EvoScan will also edit data, no where near as advanced...basically just timing and fuel maps (still the same format as ecuflash uses, it even shares teh xml files), but it's more intended to log data. EvoScan will log your load/RPM/throttle/anything you want, and a time with it so you can review those logs to tell what you need to adjust. If it's just timing and fuel adjustments, you can edit them in evoscan. If it's more than that, you can edit it all in ecuflash. EvoScan claims to be able to flash new roms to the ecu as well, but I've not ever tried that, and don't have a reason to.
You see my pic of where the intercooler and intake pipes are?

Umm...I just saw Zulu's video, and he's got the 2 reversed I think, intake is in front, and intercooler piping goes underneath it. He has the bov tube on the UICP facing upward instead of down like mine. Who else did it my way, who did it his way? I didn't really like the way mine was, but couldn't get it to fit the other way. My intercooler pipe rubs the hood a bit.

My BOV is VTA tho, so if your recirc the pipe would just be flipped around
