lol my bad. I'm getting it, i'm getting it. And I'm sure this is another stupid question. I'm sure ou cant do this, but i have to ask, can you tune the ecu to run without the MAF sensor? I'm positive its a no because its still the stock ecu so its using the readings from the stock sensors.

Yeah, you can't remove the MAF without replacing it with another means to monitor Air intake. The most common upgrade/replacement is adding a MAP sensor together with an Air Intake Temperature sensor. This allows you to accurately measure the air density.

But again, to re-iterate the point for those of you who may be reading from home, it's NOT okay to disconnect your MAF sensor. The car will think something is wrong (not getting any air) and will dump fuel to make sure engine doesn't go lean. This will kill your plugs, kill your power and reinforce you Newbie status on evom

Z lancer Man, thank you so much for your rom!!
Yeah i think this flash is another very very effective way of tuning our car!!
i was looking around the a/f ratio and noticed that your car does not boost till 4200-4500rpm, (where a/f changed to 11.8-12.5) if i use GT28 turbo where i will start boosting from 3200 rpm, I guess i need to make a ajustment little eariler then your setup!!
Also Z lancer Man what kind of turbo are you using in your setup?? and do you still use FMU with this flash or can ecu comphensiate a/f ratio without FMU(after Flash)??

No problem, glad you are enjoying it.

My turbo spools at about 3100 RPM. You have to realize that the fuel maps are now just relative values. Since I've done so much to my car, a cell of "11.5" in my fuel map doesnt mean my AFRs will be "11.5" This is why you need a datalogger. Also, our stock fuel system can't handle the extra load of the turbo without some sort of compensation, hence why we use the FMU.

I'm running a Garrett T-28 turbo as well.

cool~ but i think i still need to make adjustments around 3200 rather then 4200 because i run a GT28 Turbo which spools 700-1000 faster then T28 turbos!!! but thank you for the information, it really helped me about the tunnings!!

I do my first what a couple of day ago, I just change the number to put 12.5 instaed of 11.3 ... My afr gauge read 11.3 in the 4 th gear where I have 11.3 in the map.

I increase my rev limiter to 6505 rpm and that's work too.

Does someone of you play with the timming?

Yeah, I've started to play with the timing. Just monitor your knock. Basically you want the number as big as possible without getting knock. As soon as you see knock, reduce the number.

I'm currently tuning my larger, 440 cc, injectors. I know once I can get this tuned, there will be a lot of people interested

What memory address are you using for Rev Limit? I thought that value was still being sought out. There are about 6 or 7 instances of the value 6250 in the ROM. Anyone know which is the correct one? Z's got the right idea when it comes to tuning for knock. It's a little easier to tune when using EVOscan to keep tabs on the numbers.

I just change the value that was under the Rev limiters tab... May be, Z was lucky in is Def file and the value was good. (I think the value is 6202 rpm for stock)

I will get EvoScan today.

wouldn't raising the rev limit be bad for the car? I mean it's limited to that number for a reason right?

Crypto's right. It's not really a wise move for the safety of the valvetrain. Our engines have too many weakpoints as is with the stock limit of 6250.
