yeah thats what I was planning on doing. It seems like I might have put in the wrong info and now every time i plug in, it brings up the same thing. So I'm going to uninstall and reinstall today.
Well technically, when you uninstall a program it doens't necessarily delete all the files.
What you should do is go into the folder manually through your OS. Delete the definition file you originally used to read your rom.... or cut it out and paste it elsewhere. Then run the un-install of program. REboot your system. Install it again. and then try running everything from scratch.
If that doesn't work and you still keep getting the error, there's probably something wrong with the installation portion.

I'll give that a try, basically I want to get rid of whatever is still memorizing my ecu when I plug it in so I can start from scratch, as if I had never plugged it in.

nope, all i can figure how to do is completely uninstall the ecuflash and reboot then reinstall it. Is my rom actually stored somewhere on my laptop that allows it to remember my car everytime I plug in that maybe I can delete? I cant figure anything else out.

the ROM file's extension is either .rom or .hex However, that file isn't the one you are worried about. Its an XML file in the ECUFlash directory. I'll see if I can dig up the thread about how to clean this up.
Is anyone here working on ECU Flash for an NA 03 OZ with say SRI, RR TB, RR IM, RR Header, HF Cat, Magnaflow exhaust, RR Crank Pulley?
I have the cable and all the software and would like to hook up with someone attempting this in similar situation as me.

I have been doing some reading up on the ecuFlash program and I like the gazillion features it has to be able to tune everything from fuel to timing. My gf is thinking about getting me a PDA for christmas. She told me to look into some... so I was wondering, does EcuFlash work on windows mobile 5.0 or palm? or does anyone know of a way to tune using a PDA?

Currently you have to have a laptop. The best place to find out more information will be at the ECUFlash forums: http://forums.openecu.org/index.php Good luck!
At this time, I reach my goal.... I tune my car to run with 87 octane gas (AFR between 12.5-12.7)... I increase HP and get better MPG than before. That's also help to remove the flat spot.
You know with the $$$ of the gaz that just goes up, I want to extract more MPG from my car. (I do 350 miles per week just for the work)
