***ECUFlash Now For Base Lancers!***
ok, i got bored today so i put in the injectors i got, they are 420cc stock wrx injectors, they are a light blue color, i read on some threads that the ones that worked for us where 440cc and green, but these were a straight swap, no longer bolts or anything needed so great, but when it comes to trying to tune them no luck
, no matter how much fuel i added or removed from the fuel tables it still runs lean, which is surprising because bigger injectors should be spitting out more fuel, Zlancer could you send me your tune so i could work off of that? i really want to try and get this set at a base tune this week, i have pistons & rods on the way!

Sure thing. The thing you have to adjust is the Injector Voltage Latency Values. Basically the values that tell the car how long it takes the injectors to open when the voltage is applied on them. This in turn affects how much fuel is being sprayed. You also have to adjust the Injector Scaling Factor. I'll send you a copy of my ROM and you can start with that. You should be able to idle well though it still runs rich under WOT. I haven't had a chance to fine tune it under load.
hey guys just wondering if i got my car turbo'd and used the RRM piggyback to tune the car or if i should go a different route and just get the ECU flashed instead of taking the time to learn the piggyback software.

Do you have the Walbro 255 or another larger fuel pump? If not, you definitely need to get one.
You need something to regulate the fuel. Higher the pressure the more fuel to the injectors. The 255 pump supplies the suffiecient amount of fuel but U need something at the Engine side to regulate it to the injectors.
well i know that, but im trying to figure out an easy way of doing it without having to run fuel lines and other stuff, anybody know how the fuel pressure is kept steady on the lancers?
ive done some searching and most returnless systems ive read about are controlled by the ecu with the help of sensor feedback, which means we should be able to program it with ecuflash to raise the pressure, no? Maybe i should just keep it simple and just do a return conversion

Yeah, I'm not too knowledgeable about this conversion. I know that there are many Ralliarts out there who do a EVO fuel system swap so they can also have a return.
Its definitely awesome that there an inexpensive and powerful tool to tune our Lancers now.
I was reading that some people were having problems getting ECUFlash to work right with their cars. I shouldn't have any problems if I get a shop thats experienced with ECUFlash to do my tuning right?

Correct. Basically all tuning tools are very similar, so any experienced tuning shop will be able to tune efficiently and effectively using ECUFlash. I'm starting to think that come this spring, I'll just have a shop tune my car. That way I have a good solid base to tweak as I see fit.
hey z lancer i am about to turbo my car and have quick question!!
i already have this ecu cable i bought, do i still need 12:1 fmu??
i remember you telling me i still do need it, right?
