Road race doesn't sell an ECU - just a piggyback. With ECUflash there is no need for the piggyback.
Here is a great How-To thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=201146

Z_Lancer: Can you please PM me with your base maps ROM image? As well, is your car an Auto? When I open the definition file in internet explorer, it says Auto... if that's the case, I figure my ECU definition will be different since it's Manual? I've tried to order the cable from Tactrix, but the website is giving me an error in calculating USPS shipping cost and won't bring me past the shipping info screen. I've sent them an email and will likely call them tomorrow, even thou their site says that they won't take orders over the phone. Anyways, I'm pumped about tuning the car with this software, so any extra info would be appreciated.
That goes for others as well... with '03 Manual Transmission in particular. If you've managed to extract your stock ROM, please post it into this thread so we can get the proper definition files drawn up.
Thanks.

I must say... I'm disappointed in these people that randomly say that they suddenly have it working and have leaned out their maps, etc... meanwhile nobody has posted a ROM and HEX combo that will actually read and provide working maps to play with. Z Lancer, I think you need to post a link to your stock maps along with that definition file so I can actually start to get a handle on this program and see what it's really capable of. If it helps, I have downloaded ECUFlash 1.30... maybe there's something goin on in there? In particular, I downloaded Wickdaddy's ZIP which has the ROM and Def. file and when I try to bring up the fuel maps or anything else for that matter, it gives that ghey little box saying that the definition is wrong...
Help!?
Help!?

It's probably why you don't see the map of Wickdaddy.

Yup... that fixed Wickdaddy's. Didn't realize that he had made a different version of the 98720010 definiton. Is this Wick's stock ROM or tuned which he has posted in that zip file?

Woo Hoo!! I put my cable to use today and copied the stock ROM, which I've since emailed to Z_Lancer in order to get a definition file made up. In the mean time however, I used EVOScan to take a few logs.
They are:
1st Gear - 3rd Gear Pull on a flat road
3rd Gear Pull
and
1st Gear - 3rd Gear Pull on an incline
These are best used with the EVOScan program on Playback mode, or viewed in graphs.. but you can also open them in Microsoft Excel.
As well, I currently have a AEM UEGO Wideband guage on the way, so I can get more useful logs then, as well as begin to tune the fuel maps!

As well, I just made a couple videos highlighting the look and functionality of EVOScan. Definitely worth $25 to be able to log your info like this:
Playback of a 1st Gear through 3rd Gear Pull:

Viewing the graphs from the above run:

Enjoy

Yup! But, as mentioned in another area of this thread... you gotta be ready to learn, or have at least a good grasp of how fuel/ignition timing works... or else you just might blow your engine :P
