I install the EcuFlash 1.30 few days ago and you need the .def file that you will find in the first post to read the file corectly.

You just have the Evo .def file in the package of the EcuFlash.

just hopped on now, and dled your zip file and I couldn't extract it... what did you use to zip it?

i had to use winzip because the site wouldnt let me use any other. sorry.

i did that but i couldnt find the folder it compressed to. sorry. but i did post the winzipped version on ecu.org thanks. umm. sorry i couldnt get that other zipped version up.

i leaned out the high octane map and now i dont smell gas whenever i start it up. i cant feel a difference but i also have been trying to get rid of the knock at midrange rpms with high load. its cool though.

i advanced the timing a full point across the board except a little at one point but immediately after is when i felt the most gain.

Are you datalogging at all? I'd just be concerned for any knock that you may be getting now that you are advancing the timing.

yeah i have a nice little freeway on ramp that works great for WOT pulls. im using evoscan and tuning for knock mostly. so far ive been able to keep everything down. ill probably keep it where it is for right now and then here in a couple of days ill go back to tuning see what else i can get out of it.

ECUflash will work on any Lancer! The only thing you may or may not have to worry about is the definition file (the file that translates your ROM, or you ECU tune, to something that you can work with). So go ahead and get the cable and download the software for free and you'll be well on your way for tuning your car!
