Definitely interesting... but on the bright side, we still have a way to tune the ECU in order to run turbo while waiting to save up the cash for a full standalone unit... which also saves from having to buy a piggyback with a turbo kit... which saves money for a standalone. As you say, that condition is rarely going to happen... the only case for me for instance would be where I like to gear down a bit heavily... again however, this will make for negative load, and it won't dump the extra fuel in. Overall, I'd say we're still fine... for now. At least, us N/A peeps can still safely lean out the fuel maps and draw out whatever power is hiding in the lancers.

I sent this to wickdaddy in a PM, but I thought I'd share it with all of you:
Under normal driving, even aggressive driving you'll never drive in that region. The only time I can really think of needing to drive in that area is if 3rd, 4th and 5th gear all died and you needed to drive somewhere quickly in second gear, but your throttle can't be pushed further than 15% because your legs are too short

i really don't think this is going to be any bit of an issue... if you are running high rpms and low throttle, it's time to shift to the next gear...
unless of course you are running 5 grand in 5th, then its time to gradually hit the breaks

I have ran into a problem. I got the zeintrax wideband and i installed it in my downpipe. I ran the lines through the firewall and all of that is done. all i have to do is hookup the signal wires and i have no idea were to hook them up. im almost postive they run to the ecu wires but i dont know what wires (from the wideband) go to what pin number.... thanks

I'm afraid this thread won't be much help. Have you done a search for the wideband? And do you mean Zeitronix or do you mean zeintrax? If you mean Zeitronix, have you taken a look at the instructions? : Zeitronix Installation Instructions
Sorry about that i spelled it wrong. yeah it is a zeitronix. i have the instructions but i dont know what pins are what. and which one is (for example) power, ground. ..in my ecu harness
our ecu pinout is pretty much the same as the evo 8. same locations for the items that you do have... like you don't have an intercooler sprayer
here is a link to RRE's pinout

I got it all hooked up but my computer is sayen that the driver is not being installed for it. so that means on some computers you have to set up a com/port for it. i know some about computers but not that much, so im taking it in tomorrow to have it looked at
