You don't by any chance have one of those e-bay "Increase your HP" chips installed, do you?

 

Bro i take offense to that, i know much better then spend 20 bucks on a chip which isn't a chip at all its a resistor. all i have performance wise is piggy and intake

 

if there was a thing as a stupid question.. this would take the cake... WOW.. i think if you can install a piggy and a sri you are smart enough to stay away from ebay and their "schemes"

Ironically ther are 500-600 guys with these intakes, only one or 2 guys with your problem. It is nothing we can say is due to the part, it is that the part brought out a code on this car. Otherwise, the 99.5% are fine.

nothing against the part, and i extremly doubt their are more then 500 with this intake that is way to far beyond the truth. my opinons it sounded good when either in mivect or low throttle when giving it medium throttle it sounded horrible. i will just wait for a injens technology to give me a code free intake . I can't put intake up for sale but i can talk about it through pms

 

How do you know Injen's won't throw you an error? And 5-600 isn't far-fetched at all...RRM has a wide spread reputation for making quality mods.

You don't need fanism, it is the truth about 500 intakes. We know you don't. INjen may come out with one but don't hold your breath. They have had intake thorw codes before and they have even had intakes (That they sold) that dynoed with LOWER H.P. so don't hold your breath. Otherwise we do make quality as eveidence by 5 years of sucessful Lancer products. Anyway, your opinion is fine but don't disrespect my credibilty in order to support your opinion! That is not cool. IF our intake is such a piece of crap noone should buy it used from you then. Honestly someone should cause 499 out 500 are working so someone get a deal and come up! If I say it is close to 500 it is because it is!

See here we go again, show time just shh ight. I've heard plenty of intakes on 4bangers that sound lets say the same or better. My moms 4cyl altima intake sounds better so it depends on the car bud so start learning more about other cars as well.

anyways i never said the intake sucked, I stated it did not work for me and i didn't like the medium throttle sound at all. also Rob i was not using ur name(rrm/rre) in vain. Forums suck 1 person has a problem with a product and tries and tries to make it work and it doesn't and boom he is the worst person on the planet. Just to avoid all this BS i am also goign to take off the Piggy and put it up for sale and im goign to think about putitng up the new in box pully up for sale as well just to avoid stupid problems and people bickering about ****. Most people don't even have the ***** or money to go out and try a product.

Rob, you noe i tried plenty of times to get it to work, and it didn't and i can bet it cause of the piggy but its w/e i don't speed i never wanted it for the speed so i can live with out it.

I always thought a fan boy was somebody who stood steadfast behind a product/thing even if it's blatantly crap? Anyway, I stand behind RRM/RRE because their products/service/support are awesome...not because I blindly follow them and don't know any better. I also can say that for a lot of other companies too...it doesn't make me a sheep...just means I prefer quality and good service.

Regardless, let us know how Injen's offering works out for you. WORKS is R&Ding a drop in high-flow air filter (available sometime before the end of the next millennium), so there's always that route too if this whole SRI ordeal has you soured.

 

Can someone post a link to a credited dyno that shows the difference between mods and no mods. Are they posted somewhere and I just missed them?
