and i think for v1 guys the only thing you can do is sell it to someone else and take the loss. because i know for sure they wont be taking em back or offering any conversion kits.

And that's part of life. When Apple released a new MacBook a month after I bought mine, I didn't expect to "trade in" my laptop. I said "hey, that's life."

I just don't understand why the 2008 Lancer crowd is on this big kick of expecting RRM to work like a Gamestop. Road/Race is a automotive parts vendor. They make and sell products. If they make something newer and better, then you can either buy it or not. But why does everyone get so needy about these things?
(Not trying to be rude, I'm just amazed by all these posts I've been seeing.)

Blacksheepdj, dont ban me just yet, and i figure since this is almost related to RRMS SRi it might be acceptable, but has anyone mixed a tornado intake insert with the SRI????? its just a waste of money isnt it... with the remaining tubing left that is corrogated it wont help... was thinking about it and figured i would ask, oh and by the way, i am very much aware they wont take trade ins on the V2...

but a boy can hope cant he???

I have heard that those tornado things just restrict airflow. I doubt that spinning the air in the intake helps combustion or airflow. I think its just a waste of money.

*All of the above may be completely wrong

I was just about to buy the RRM intake on a why the hell not type of spending moment, but decided to read this tread once more...would it be worth it to buy the v1 version now seeing as in a months the v2 version could possibly be out on the market?

Thoughts?

if your really on a budget and want that tornado intake performance then just take an old gym sock or something and shove that in your intake. it will give you the same performance.

and as far as the v2 i sure know that i am gonna wait for it because i think in all this time RRM has spent on the lancer i think they learned a little bit more on it and what it likes and such. and besides v2 is a much better name so it sounds cooler when your bragging about whats under the hood, or more like what isnt under the hood.

eBay it is.

This whole 08 forum is people "just saying" stuff. It gets annoying to me. RRM is actually trying to IMPROVE the products they sell, and the reaction they get is a bunch of people posting "oh, no fair, I want to return my V1 for a refund!" That gets on my nerves. It's just like how half the 08 owners peed themselves when they saw that "Mitsu is screwing us over by releasing a better 09 version." Just a bunch of grown men/women whining on the Interweb.
*steps down off soapbox*

Tornado is junk. I had one and took full advantage of the money-back guarantee. Made my car slower, lowered my MPG.

I can hope sends me a free Evo, but hoping won't help much. As said above, I'm just tired of hearing whining about the V2 that doesn't even exist yet.

Do what's going to make you happy. The V1 is a perfectly good intake. I have one and have no complaints about it. The V2 is nothing more than a rumor right now. If you want to mod your car right now, do it. If you want to wait for something better, then buy a swaybar or something else right now. How you spend your $ is up to you.

well if your going to sell it... you better sell it before the v2 comes out.. have you noticed when something new comes out.. the old one's price dramatically drops.. well thats whats going to happen to your intake when you sell it.. but good luck..
