rofl it does come with an air filter... its not just some tube man.hyrdolock shield does exactly what it says "shields your engine from HYDROlock".

 

That is just a cover from Injen.. THey do not havea good way to protect you from hydrolock. Not sure how those work but.... We will never make a CAI, we did and it sucked on power on the 4B11. What we will make is a MID RAM. That will give the best of both worlds without filter hanging in the water. IF you Hydrolock no dealer is gonna warranty that engine. THink about it. There is no way to lie about that issue. They would be looking for a water line higher than your grill! MIDRAM is the best for power and safety. Meantime SRI is working great. No issues to speak of and good gains. RRM SRI is the best selling intake to date for the 4B11 engine.

well just wonder what the sales count was for rrm sri if they are the best selling, how many satisfied customers are there?

 

Sales Count and Satisfied Customers are two different things.

Just like someone above me posted, you can look through alot of lancer forums and you won't find too many people that dont' like the Short-ram.
Sales Count just gives you the number of people who bought it, that doesn't imply they liked it or not.
I myself am also curious to see this newer version short-ram. So so far that's 2 satisfied customers. but there are more of us out there.

 

There are 800 intakes out there and about 10 or less complaints. Seriously!!! Only thing is that certain guys who complained keep talking about it for 3 months on the board so it looks like more of a problem than it is. Out of the 10 or less guys 5 or more installed it wrong but came up on the board to ask what's up. THose guys are resolved but they don't come back to the board to say everything is cool now. Think about that. That is how the board ususally goes.

Maybe I was not clear. We are not focusing on V2. It is making progress but other things are a priority over that since V1 is fine. V2 is 3months off the way things are going around hear. Hope that clears things up.

so am i to understand that v2 will be more like the injen intake which mounts to the throttle body and not the plastic tubing? plus with maybe a little more length and a heat shield possible?
