man leave finest soldier alone.. he's bashing RRM as much as RRM's bashing INJEN.

i personally have RRM intake and i love it. it gives me better response, better fuel economy, like everything they promises of. it's true the SRI is just a metal and a filter put together, but hey it works well and i can't fabricate it so i give RRM full props for making them.

finest soldier. i guess ur just the unfortunate one cuz really, you are the only one here on the whole evom community that really had a bad experience with the SRI. (1 in 500? that's 0.2% of the whole SRI customers). you can prove INJEN is more superior FOR YOU when you get injen SRI/CAI and it works fine for you. you should then be happy it's not a problem with your car. but until then.

back to topic!

i'm looking forward to what ROB and RRM has to do about the heat shield, and what kinda benifits it produces.

Like the rest of the world. Playstation 2 guys can't trade it in for PS3. There is nothing wrong with PS2 or our V1 intake. V2 just demonstates our committment to making parts better and better. We are the only ones that will still be making Lancer stuff in 4 years and remaking some if need be. Everyone else will be making intakes etc... for the other cars and trucks next week and never look back at Lancer. Not us.

Yeah, at Gamestop. Not at Microsoft. Until they start a CarStop store, you're kinda S.O.L. Because RRM doesn't sell used parts at a 10% discount and then convince you to buy a RRM Informer magazine subscription which also gives you a RRM card that you can use to get an extra 10% off used merchandise. (Man, that analogy was LONG!)

I wish were Game Stop. Back on topic though. It will be a while before the intake is changed. 4-5 months out. Other items take priority over it like a the lip, turbo, coilovers.

FOr the record, Our intake works fine with PZEV cars. Someone is posting different but that is cause they had a problem. This thread is 36 pages long cause of all the people who love the intake. LEts keep on topic. We have them running on federal cars, PZEV Cali cars, NY , NJ and thye like without issues. Sorry Soldier had issues. I would still love to find out why but he only called once about it and has just been posting negative since so I have not had opportunity to see the intake or discuss it further with him. Meantime there are another 500+ guys happy out there including MITSUBISHI DEALERSHIPS installing them on BRAND NEW 2008 LANCERS.

Also not sure where I bashed Injen. We have worked with them and they have even built prototype stuff for Eclipses in our shop, on our lift, with our welders. Only thing that bugs me is the blind faith in some stuff. The rubber hose thing is quite strange but if it work and you guys like a U shaped rig, over the top of the battery terminal then OK. I think we would have been lynched if we would have done that on a design. IF you love them so much, maybe I will add them to the website. Like I said, I worked with Injen on other projects. So...................

Speculation is fine, and its just that speculation, and everyone is entitled to it. Why people are getting bent out of shape over it is puzzling. Hey who knows, Injen may have a winner on their hands. in theory a longer pipe may yield more mid and higher end power. Maybe not.
Time will tell with dynos and feed back. i am hungry to see the new offerings this spring. RRM V2 will be interesting, as well as AEMs offerings, they have been mighty quiet in their barn.

Getting back on subject, Rock will you be starting a new thread for your V2 intake? this one is getting full of alot of idle chatter, related and unrelated.

When V2 is ready we will discuss it. Meantime it is a ways off. It is more in the idea phase right now. There are lots of other products to work on before. We also have silver intakes. Just make sure you ask for silver or red.
