I have only seen a few of these b58s fail. Most were just because they were making too much power on a stock engine. Like 800whp. Don't think I have heard of a trans or rear end failure. Axles break but again, high hp drag cars. Couple bent front arms from hitting rumble strips. Overall, so far at least, these things seem to be reliable and track worthy out of the box.

just wait until that splitter goes on. It's quite impressive with how easy it scrapes. The bottom of mine is destroyed already. Doesn't help I can't make it in or out of my neighborhood with both the splitter and diffuser scraping twice each way.

So..... Maybe I won't be doing aero, after all. I like to take the Toyota out around town, occasionally. Sounds like that would be miserable.
I would definitely be copying the splitter using plywood x 10.

Also why I didn't do the side skirts. I wouldn't even be able to get my quick jacks under the car unless I double the amount of wood I *already* drive up on.

That said... adding aero to my Supra week continues...

I have already come to the conclusion that having to drive up on wood is normal for these cars. My 3/4" pieces are now going to get swapped for 1-1/2" pieces. I still need to get some canards one of these days. Honestly, the only reason I went with the skirts and spats was for looks. Just didn't look right without them.

@LetsGetThisDone Starting the splitter install today. Man, you where not kidding, this SUCKS. The template is wayyyy off. I cut the rectangles out and they are like off by like .75" front/back

I'm just hoping the template is right side to side before I drill the mounting holes in the bumper bar.

Glad this splitter install is done. What a pain in the ***. Need to source two longer bolts for the rear sides since they supplied ones aren't long enough.

Aero is now all installed!

I mean we both have the same name but he spells his the wrong way

Glad you got it on. It was by no means a fun task. Have you taken it around the block yet to see how bad it scrapes or is your car in winter hibernation?

I haven't, car is up on my quickjacks. I'm about to pull the suspension out to send to MCS to get repaired.

I also realized I don't have the splitter aligned 100% as the drivers side rear is back about .25". So I need to loosen everything up again and realign.
