Mk V Supra - My Evo's Replacement?
Since we want to be "fair", put some R-compounds on the Supra to match the R-compounds on the Vette GS, then tune the Supra to get closer to the 450hp the Vette GS has, and then we can see what happens.
My point here, these comparisons are so silly, it's like the very old and tired "you can buy a mustang for not much more money and it has a 100-200hp more than _insert BRZ, Miata, any other affordable sports car here_"
or , the "buy a GT4, it's better than a Supra", of course it is, it's $130k compared to $60k.

secondly this post was definitely in favor of the Supra, why are y'all getting so defensive? I was showing that just with a tire upgrade it comes much closer to the GS in terms of lap times with tires a little more equalized than at Lightning Lap. and as far as "yea but if you mod whatever car" anyone thats gonna regularly track a car is gonna upgrade tires and wheels (maybe not wheels depending on car), the only mod on said supra was tires. ...well and maybe pads, but thats another mod anyone thats gonna regularly track the car is gonna do, and the GS in question definitely has pads. and if anyone isn't gonna regularly track them then they shouldn't be comparing lap times anyway.
35k* cause apparently I'm blind... but its not double, thats all I was pointing out. but yeah, you can definitely buy another car or 2 for the difference.
my bad on the price, somehow I didn't see the as tested price on the GS and only went off the base... imma use the I was looking at it on my phone excuse
ok snowflakes. first of all I only posted this cause the GS vs Supra lap times comparison was already going. if you look at the posts I quoted both were talking about C7 GS vs Supra in terms of laptimes.

I ask that because (this applies to a lot of cars), let's say you put $5K into a supra, you can make the wheel/tires match the GS and also make the HP match. Could also do some suspension upgrades. Now we have an equal match. I would hope the GS is still faster but if it's not, it's not the better deal.
Snowflake? Did you really just go there..... you definitely need to get to know me better. I'm not being defensive, just posting facts. Yes the GS is vastly a better track car out of the box, no questions there and completely get it, but at the same time at $35,380 more expensive, it better be that much better of a car. Is it?

if we're talking putting 30k into a supra vs a stock GS (equal tires), I'm pretty sure the supra would be faster around a track... you can do quite a lot with 30k in mods
I'm doing a video on it this week, then listing on BAT. As soon as it goes, so does the Evo.
But...
I'm also thinking about going p-car which will do the jobs of both my toys.
Or...
An older almost-classic f-car.

It has 1500 miles and still has protective plastic on the display, door sills, carpet. Apparently, it was stored in a temp-controlled facility and the previous owner traded it in on a 911 Turbo.
I had been looking for a 21/22 because of the updates but I was having a very hard time finding one in a color I wanted and also one that didn't have a $3,000 or more market adjustment. Then I found this car, had them send me updated photos and I jumped on it because it's basically a new 2020 LE in amazing condition. All the other used Supras had some sort of flaws that I would hate to have for a $50K+ car.
The plus is also that I can tune it right away if I want... which of course I will. :P
