Corolla GR-FOUR
Yes. I spent a week going back and forth with the internet sales manager. They wanted over MSRP and offered a really low amount on my trade in. The trade in part was no big as I'll sell the car on my own, but I won't over pay for a new car.
It's okay. I really should sell the Moostang first, anyway. Multiple car payments is no fun.

Media embargo finally lifted so a lot of press today about this car, which to me really seems to be a spiritual successor to the Evo..

I watched the savagegeese review and I think I'd really like to have one, but production is way too limited and dealers are going to absolutely rob us. Great car that enthusiasts aren't going to be able to afford, what's new?

Doesn't matter anyway as the chorizo edition will be unobtainium.
I hope this was an autocorrect

To be fair, one of the reviews I saw mentioned the lack of a center armrest (not in the "chorizo" edition) and specifically noted it was a pre-production model and Toyota had stated the center console in the test vehicles wasn't the production version. I don't think I heard this mentioned in any other reviews, so it would easy to think it the production intent if those are what you saw and happened to notice it.
Only problem with the GR I see is if Toyota really only does a limited run that the dealers are going to charge people ridiculous amounts of money to get their hands on one, that or car speculators get them and then really drive prices up..

"Chorizo edition" lol! As in the "spicy one" I guess...?

GR Corolla - Motor Trend Test - Disappointing!
At the back of the pack in almost every performance category. Still would like to drive it to see how dynamic and fun it is.

I didnt get the "Disappointing" tag from either the Vid or the written review. With a few aftermarket mods / tricks the GR may really come alive! Hey regarding interiors, I have a 2006 $30K Evo RS w/a full Tupperware sanctioned interior LOL. Good post for sure & thanks!
