One more update on the state of the SST trainy in my car. After initial error and loss of even gears, thing started working just fine the very next day and even the check engine light went away. It was like that for a week or so while I was driving it very carefully without much of accelerations and harder corner entering. The very first time I got hotter into the corner while under braking while coming off the highway, it popped the error again. At the same exit, I have once got an error as my rear trunk door is open, while getting in there a bit faster as well.
It looks like there is something that is creating some kind of short there and sending messages somewhere. Could a potential low level of trainy fluid cause something like this? Not at the point where I could pull the trainy off and send it for repairs, so just trying to poke around as much as I can...
Is this something that can be fixed without sending transmission to one of the builders?
It requires a full trans tear down. So you might as well do a full rebuild with mew clutches and 4 damper while its out. Would be really silly to do all this world just to replace the 2-4 for fork, and then god forbid the clutches start slipping in a thousand miles.

That is where I am right now. To take it out and ship it to Jack/Kozmic or get some parts from them and rebuild it on my own. That would include 2-4 (and maybe even 3-5 forks), and oil rings. Other things to check:
if torque damper makes noise when shaken, that would need fixing.
Car has 100k miles, so clutch plates are probably right there to be replaced (at least some of them)

I remember doing an overhaul where we changed the pistons that move the forks, and all the seals on the hydraulic block. Torque damper you usually hear making a racket on idle. Best speak to Jack/Kozmic on what needs doing..
The manual X gearbox suffered from main diff pins going bad but I think this is not the case for the SST..
That is actually their old style. They just release a solid billet fork that is all one piece, even the magnet is incorporated. Check their YT page. But if you can build a block correctly, you can build an SST correctly I feel. There is soo much info out there now that you can know exactly what you are getting into. Jacks also sells the OEM pistons for the trans as well, not aftermarket ones apparently.
The damper is one thing I don't have the skills for bc I can't weld for ****...
Rebuilding anything comes down to your ability to patiently follow the service manual, and properly measure clearances and preloads. The issue is I dont think theres and "actual" service manual for the SST because its not a repairable unit according to mitsubishi, beyond replacing the mechatronic unit.
finally starting to make some progress on my upgrades. Did the 5-lug swap and got rear discs on my OZ last month. Still collecting parts for my 4g64 swap.
