Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
You figure with all the time spent taking your car to and from shops, you could of aligned it yourself, the way you want it the first time and (hick voice) learn you something along the way. Besides you probably would save some cash.
Just sayin....
the tech was an impatient idiot (like most) and did not want to spend the time properly aligning car. I assume RCJ your running camber plates, there is no reason why you can't get -2.7 with a 1/4" toe out! The front is easy anyways, its the rear of the car that's a massive pain. It is so finicky to get camber and toe right on the rear of an evo.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I think that the more I bug them, the less accommodating they will become. They made me wait for an hour, because a truck was on the alignment rack. I had an appointment.
I can imagine that the techs will quickly get annoyed with me if i stand in the shop telling them "-2.3 does not equal -2.5" or "0.15 is not 0 toe" or "try turning the lower eccentric bolt", ect.
Though they cant seem to figure that out on their own. Sure, -2.3 is not bad, it is still somewhat aggressive. I would be 90% happy, if the car drove straight.
I really want to find an equilibrium with this shop. The manager is an avid auto-xer and they charge me half price for everything. Chill guys, and the shop is close to my house.
However, if they aren't going to do the work correctly the first time, then the discount is not worth it.
I'll probably wait a few weeks to take it back. They should forget about me a bit. I'll just say I hit a big bump, and think the alignment got knocked off ... rather than telling them they eff'ed up and need to fix it.

(done ranting)

I would love to do my own alignments, but lack tools, garage and a flat surface. Plus for the $40 this shop charges me, its worth trying to tame them...
I'm down. Might be growing the hair back too.
kenny, why not just go take the trip to RT and let them do it.
they nail it perfectly everytime i've gone.
unless you have plans of taking apart or altering suspension in the very near future, it's worth the money and effort just not have to deal with training a tech that was supposedly formally trained already.

Fixed.
I don't care about waivers, I just want in on the sexting.
I now see what I've been missing out on last week while down in the Volunteer State....ummmmm.....exactly.
Oh, and Josh, I want you to keep the car. I want to see this thing run. It will be a beast. Remember, it's all about what I want.

F that. I'm going domestic, growing a mullet and listening to 80's rock.
About the closest I may come is picking up a heavily modded DSM I've been looking at for some time. I want something cheap and paid for in cash so when something blows up I'm not making car payments on a garage ornament. More than likely it'll be a GTO with forced induction of some sort though. I've had Mitsus since 2001 and it's kind of getting old. I know I'll buy another Evo in the near future but it'll be a X and it has to wait at least a year.

Shoulda spent the money at R/T. Pat does a great job and spends the time. The last time I got an alignment there, he spent 4 hours on the car to get exactly what I want. They may seem somewhat expensive, but you walk away feeling good that it was done right. But to give your gy some credit, the camber/toe setting on out cars are very sensitive to each other. Slight changes in camber effects toe in every bit. If i recall, you're using aftermarket essentric bolts for camber, not camber plates? I'm not sure if it makes zeroing out toe any harder, but it may be something to consider.
