so someone give me the low down on testing for boost leaks. obviously the concept is simple, but ive never done it, and dont have a tester. what should i be looking, whats normal pressure, how to tell a leak, where to get one etc.

im a noob in this area. obviously clamps and IC piping is first place to check. any other ideas. im running like 3-4 lbs less boost than normal and the car is driving like a slug. not happy.

you can come pick it up. I cant type out the process but if you call me I will explain what I know

I will try

Take off intake/maf and secure tester
Pump to desired boost level
Wait to see if boost levels drop if they drop....find leak attempt to fix and repeat

yea it seems simple, i just need to get a tester. i think driving from VA to your house may be a bit excessive tho, thanks for offer!

ill either find someone who has one or make one this weekend and find the leak. its prob just the bov, ic piping or some hose. but its pissing me off haha

thanks for the advice chuster

Rob is a beautiful human being.
I'm about 10 hours into Dans clutch with another 3-4 to go. The trans is in axles on and we're putting the small stuff back in. Then it's on to the master cylinder brace and fluids. NOW I can see why the X clutch swaps frieking blow. It would have been a lot easier with 2 extra people but it was just me and John which is like 1.5 people. Dan kept asking if I wanted his help but I figured it would be like letting my 3 year old help.

Dan does look a little inept with his hands. A clutch job that is worse than the 9's? That blows.
