if the timing changes are working just smooth around it best you can so there aren't big jumps in timing which there doesn't look to be....the area you highlighted just decrease those vales to smooth into your changed area and u will be good....

don't get so hung up over thee whole "2-3 deg" stuff......u pretty much rip through those map areas anyway so as long as its not a major jump you will be fine. seems like your on the right track to me?
