Awesome! Too bad they didn't get a photo of your car.

Thanks! There are a few corner workers that also have some pics. As soon as I get them I will try and post them.

Congrats. One suggestion would be leave it stock while you have a warranty.

Beat on the car a little here on the drive into work this morning and I am really liking the brake setup. The pads have a great initial bite and feel strong regardless of how much you are jamming the pedal. I am just trying to gradually seat them in here, so no report on how they will do on constant abuse.

Anyone else around here using the Ferodo 2500 pads? I heard some squeaking on low speed <10mph and was wondering if that will subside once everything seats correctly.

True, but I'd run it until they won't warranty anything then start modding. Otherwise, you might have gotten an expensive item for free.

Probably always going to have some squeal. I know with my Yellows they still have an occasional squeal under 10 mph.

I suppose I have gotten a few things under warranty still, the 4 brembos replaced due to paint was HUGE. I think I saw the invoice and it was quoted at like $1800.00 just for parts, so I was glad to dodge that bullet. Now I am waiting to hear if I can get a new ACD Pump under warranty. Hopefully Mad Mike can work his magic.

The 2500 are a good all around pad. They will wear out quick if you run slicks but for street tired they are fine. As far as the noise. Did you lube them up real well? If so there is not much you can do. If it's starts to get annoying, girodisc has some anti-noise shims that are suppose to help.

Used a good bit of oil on them, and also used the shims. It is very minimal, and I can definitely live with it but I was just wondering if it was normal. I hope they don't wear out too fast, I really hate messing with rotors and pads. I always feel compelled to take the calipers off to clean them up and make sure to do things right. Bleeding things is a ***** and I am just glad the job is over and done with...

We have a few meets a year. Some large, some small. Looks like a small one this weekend.

Mike at Bariel Mitsu is the mechanic almost everyone goes to for work on their cars.

Im running 2500's F&R with no noise but alot of dust, they do stop well on street tires.

Did you put on the black shims on the pads?
I never had any squeal on either car with the yellow stuffs.

MCW, just run the car for 1000 miles and then go nuts.

Curt, is that 9 finished yet?

Excellent. I am okay with the dust, but as long as they are not going to wear out very fast I am cool with it.

I got your PM the other day about the turbo . I haven't cleaned out my inbox or read a bunch that random people have sent me.

What were you looking to find out about it? I have a dyno plot and some logs I could send you if you were interested. If you are in the area and want to take a spin in it that is fine too. Let me know, and sorry for the extremely late response.
