That would be ridiculous considering the pictures posted.....

So razorlab's driveshaft is bent

Or the engine mounts are bent thus making the engine be tilted to an angle and everything else miraculously fits except 02 sensor.....

They would permanently lose my business if they responded with an answer like that given this situation and this doesn't even effect me

or just block it off and do narrowband simulation from the WB. Its always something....don't think i have ever bought a "bolt on kit" that didn't need some kind of modification.

I feel like them telling me my core support is bent warrants the same action. And you wonder why I refuse to buy anything from them anymore...lol

ETS turbo kits have fit fine on the three cars I've installed their stuff on. Except the Evo 8 with a 4g64, but that doesn't count because the kit wasn't designed around the taller deck height.

I'm starting to wonder if the precision stainless exhaust housing is a different dimension than the normal cast exhaust housing. Even slightly, it could throw everything out of wack.

Of course then I would have an issue at the wastegate to dp connection as well... hmmm

Not going to do that. I want my narrowband operating normal and as intended. If anything I would throw it down where the wideband is, plug the other hole and put the wideband back in the test pipe.

Still doesn't solve the 1" gap between tp and dp though. lol.

The stainless exhaust housing "should" be the same as cast iron because it's the same housing, just cast in stainless instead of iron.

I don't think that is true, they visually look different from the outside, the cast iron has a ridge and the stainless steel does not:

Perhaps that is the difference between the .62 and .8 housings, but I'm having a hard time finding photos of both.

The housing may look different. But the position of the flanges relative to each other *shouldn't* change.

Got a reply back from MAP.

Basically they said since the system is a full vband everything there is "infinite" adjustment. So I am going to discuss with my builder. I'm assuming if MAP is correct, then if all the v-bands where loosened up, then the downpipe should be able to be swung away from the drive shaft and then tighten everything up.

I am slightly skeptical because I would think the integrated wastegate tub in the downpipe binds the possible positions the downpipe/turbo can articulate from each other but we'll see...

If you move the end of the DP up/down, it won't line up with the wastgate. You could try rotating the turbo, but I don't see that working. It'll move the sensor away for the driveshaft, but then it won't line up with your exhaust. It also still doesn't explain why its 2" short.

But, you got the answer I was expecting from MAP, "not our fault."

From MAP:

"Our kit was designed with the OEM placement of the exhaust. We cannot guarantee that this will work with any other brand of test pipe/cat back. The mis-match of parts can add up and cause fitment issue"

I replied and called BS because I had the OEM downpipe on the car before this and the exact same aftermarket testpipe / catback combo bolted on perfectly to it.

So, basically, more "not our fault". Classic.

we'll see what some tweaking of all the vbands does.

This has been such a long journey so something like this doesn't bum me out too much.

I was hoping I would have my car back before my birthday next week but it's looking like that isn't going to happen now.

been one year two months since the car has been down :-(
