Yes agreed which makes perfect sense.

Which goes back to what was the problem again? Bc that 3-2.5 reducer is going to be too large. At least from the pictures the coupler you had on there looked fine. Get them all hooked up and clamped down and perform a BLT and if it holds pressure you're in the clear

I go the exhaust on today. Also finally removed the slave pill that basically everyone says should be the first thing you do to these cars. Here I am 13yrs later lol

Oh and it looks like it clears the ACD pump and bracket without issue. but once I straight pipe it I'll probably just wrap a small section with heat wrap just for good measure.

Changed the oil. Put on the dimple drain plug and black hole filter magnets. Topped off coolant and power steering fluid. Bled the clutch. Can move the wheels and clutch appears to be working great, no drag or signs of trouble. Valve train quited down a little and so did power steering after adding fluid. Made another video for fun. Watch on youtube for HD

And gotdamnit you guys were right and the couplers are the wrong size... New ones on the way. 2.5" to 2.25"

Alright. Car is really close to moving on its own power. Its down on its own weight for the first time in quite a while.

Jon @TRE said I could drive it to achieve break in with no ACD plumbing connected, without abusing it naturally.

Still some little stuff to do (there always is)

More photos with my dog posing lol

I wouldn't want the ACD pump to run dry. Install the line, bleed it, then unplug the ACD ECU.

The pump is dry, the ACD portion of the tcase is dry. The pump has no line or wires run/isnt powered yet.

As long as there's no computer hooked up I wouldn't think there'd be any damage but I'm not the most familiar with the ACD system.

Car looks awesome! Now to stretch its legs and it out to some trackdays!

Ah, gotcha. You'll be fine then.

His post gave me the impression everything was hooked up, and he was just going to leave the pump with no fluid in it. Which will make it run dry on every initial start. Which is why I suggested unplugging the ACD ECU. But he doesn't even have the pump wired, so it's a moot point

Got about 30miles on her today. Rinsed off all the dust but she needs a good wash. Fresh tank of 100 oct gas. So far so good, no leaks or issues, no burning oil etc. Clutch workin well.
