No updates in a while. Sorry... I mentioned earlier in the thread my wife and I were talking about another baby. Well my 2nd son is due on May 23rd lol. Also having some remodeling done to my house. So time and money have been in short supply!

None the less, I'm really close to doing my first fire. Finished up the wiring in the engine bay, for the most part at least. Used the tape Austin recommended. Also used what I had left of the fire tube for the power cables to the starter and alt. Had to make a whole new "power" harness in order to have the wires long enough to meet the Evo X fusible link. I gaped the plugs and installed the COP fully. Since I deleted HVAC and the throttle body heater hoses, I looped them back to themselves on the head/coolant pipe/Tstat housing.

I've also decided to scrap the OE power steering cooling loop and run a small radiator. Bought a small cooler setup from Orielys for like 35 bucks. Should work perfectly. But last items are putting all the IC/Intake pipes, radiator and some fluids and it should be ready to fire. Oh yeah need to setup the flash/rom too. AND I found a burnt out fog light plug so working on replacing that.

It wont really be ready to drive though as I have to finish up the wiring and plumbing for the ACD relocation and do some tidying up of wiring inside the car. I really should have finished the ACD plumbing with the motor out. Going to be challenging on jack stands...

Did the PS cooler today. Connected everything up, filled rad with coolant. Decided to crank and see what would happen. On the original MAF tune, after a few cranks it started! I didnt let it run more than 10 seconds but big milestone! I dont even have the downpipe attached yet. Need to figure out how to setup ECU flash for Tephra V7 and get the map Boostin provided on the ECU. But even my 10 + yr old Tactrix cable still works which is cool. Super excited that its all working so far considering I had this car in pieces... knock on wood.

Got a few more little tasks done. Car is flashed with Boostin's base map and now on SD. Waiting on some intercooler couplers that are the right size and some Tbolt clamps. The Blitz intercooler is something like 2.5" while the ETS piping is 3". Also redid the coolant lines that loop back with some Vibrant Silicone hoses. Put the SPAL fan on and its really nice. Need to figure out a mount for the fan controller and finish up wiring it in. Just gearing up for a real first fire and warm up.

Got down pipe back on too. Rewrapped it. Might seem trivial but I wrapped it from back to front so the folds dont face the incoming air (because I'm a little OCD). Decided to remove the heat sheild under the car in the tunnel. It seems to collect salt and still has 10yr old salt all over it. I was not pleased to see it only weighs like 2lbs...

ETS's "regular" IC piping is 2.5". The IC in/out must be small..

Well the OD is 3" or so says the couplers I bought from them. I ordered 3" to 2.5" reducers which should work fine.

The OD of the coupler might be 3", but the piping is definitely 2.5". I have a car at the shop with a 3" UICP. That ****er is yuge...lol. You def don't have 3" IC piping

You could, always you know, measure it with, you know a measuring device

But to shadow what Sean said no way that intercooler piping is 3". If it is 3" which its not then get rid of it.

lol I did measure the OD to get the right couplers. I'm not concerned about its size, just having the right coupler so I dont have massive boost leaks

Boost leaks are the devil!

You got me curious so I just took a couple measurements...my piping as advertised was ~2.5" OD as pipe specifies. The coupler I measured a 4-ply one was 1/4" thick x2 gives you your 3" OD

Pipe is measured at OD, couplers are measured at ID.
