Nice work! That sucks it gave you so much grief but you got it done. If it's in the budget a good harmonic balancer to replace that busted factory one is a pretty noticeable improvement.

Yeah, but it sure does make you feel like a champ when the thing finally comes free! As for a fancy balancer that's not in the budget right now due to time crunch, they having a wedding out at farm so would appreciate no eyesore dead car and shipping times are a mystery these days, and the exchange rate(you seen how cheap CAD is right now, ugh). Of course now I know how it all goes together so swapping down the road won't be a big deal. Car won't be driven much or hard until that is replaced.

Do you want to be amused? Of course you do, laugh at my folly ya bunch 'o maniacs.
So anyway, blah blah at least I learned a lot doing all that. After I get all the things back together and figure what the hell let's give 'er and see what shakes...aaaand the green key thing is back. I'm kinda stumped but also curious and decide to try and confirm my diagnostic stuff is working, 1.3 no hook up and torque pro no hook up. Plug the torque dongle into my van to test it and yes it does work(already paired to my phone) also notice there is a blinky light on it. Back to the Evo and plug it in, no blinky! At least it narrows down my problem...which is of course now related to immobilizer all along. Next up is fuses/relays, luckily plenty of spares. Apart from not starting it all went back together super easy.

Whatever, it won't be driven much or long with the manky pulley but time means run it for now. Now I know how easy it is to swap first thing is gonna be a foofah fancy dampener

So stock you could puke! Why THE EFF won't it go vroom vroom psshhht. Well almost, still need that solenoid from Russia.

So uh, yeah, after all that I learned a lot and eventually found the things that were not correct. It was wiring diagrams that finally sorted me out.
Ooooooohhhhh, you mean that little electronic googah that I wasn't sure was swapped is in fact the IMMOBILIZER ECU!?! And that other thing I simply hadn't noticed was beefcake fuse? All that is behind me now.

Hahahaha, took needing to go through wiring diagrams to realize this is the immobilizer ECU...so much grief for such a tiny thing, typical.

Bloody good thing I got a spare!

Learned a lot so it was kind of good in the end though unfortunate I boshed the edge of balancer.

Been a long slog and I'm honestly blown away it started.

Thanks man, feeling pretty happy right now.
So the car is back on it's wheels and I gotta swap onto the swift spring rear stuff again even though I don't like the way it sits with stock springs in front the rear passenger is blown. But the car moved! Which let me know something is awry with the power steering, hope just low fluid.

Meeeeeeeooooow!

That white don't quite match but car will get a spray next year so for now it's fine. Plus I kinda dig the ghetto Evo vibe. Not sure about those window visor things...

All of a sudden all I got is white vehicles...

Well eff me gang! It was fluid so power steering is sorted...which led to another minor thing, play in the wheel. Of course now I learn about not lowering wheel while it's not bolted in or some little tab things can break then yer up a creek. Well, I suspect I'm up a creek, will take a quick vid later to show what's up. Also had p0243(wastegate solenoid) and the p0301. Shut car off, wiggled connections and looked side eyed at stuff, fired back up and poof all gone. It is worth mentioning I've got those E3 spark plugs in and so far car is fine with 'em so it seems 9 guys have a cheap plug option. Drove the car down the street and back and boy oh boy do I gotta figure out how to clean up the brakes! Swapped back onto swift rear stuff and bought some spring clamps to put stock springs on good struts. So I got not oil leaks that I can see but level is way down since I fired it up, is that just cooler n stuff getting flooded and using volume?

Figured out play in wheel, gone now. The last thing I need to pass inspection to get on road is daytime running lights and I'm having trouble making sense of any of the info out there so maybe let a shop do this...unless I figure it out in time but cars gotta move from current location to clear space for wedding reception that's going down. p0301 is back but meh, was there before...maybe I toss in fancy plugs. I couldn't think of any other way to test if the turbo is working at all soooo...

The stereo dual bluetooth thing worked well so far, had phone and torque hooked up at once. Just need to get a proper wifi signal to update/upgrade/install apps. Really wishing Evodroid was out in the wild now! Yeesh, whatta we gotta do ovuh heeuh.

That red ended bolt was why the steering was sloppy. Easy fix, hooray! No creek adventure here...there are others though.

I took the car for inspection because that's what you do once it's all put back together and that's when I found out that it's all good...except for that one tiny detail that the bright light of the day stopped me from noticing.

These. The 3 cluster bulbs are burnt and they are the only thing in the way of the car passing inspection for plates. Did I run around all amok trying to find replacements? Of course I did. Are there any? Hell no, not in Canada in this age. So I ordered a variety of bulbs from Amazon that if the internet didn't lie shiuld at least pump some lumens long enough for me to get on the road while real bulbs come from USA. durr

I got another weird sound that I made a video for so please give a listen, something sounds off with transmission.

Can I say ARGH? Anyway, you know when you hire a shop to do a thing because time and skill are not on your side? Then you pay 700$ to realize they ****ED UP! Wire in DRL's, they said they could do it no problem...so why the **** are my high beams constantly on now!?! I am no impressed and this is just another reason to never hire a shop, bloody clown college graduates at best. Fixed all the other lights now though, dash cluster, upper brake, interior dome. Just need to sort this high beam malarky. Yes, the shop will either fix their mistake or give me back my money. On a more ridiculous note, did I slap my van plate on to drive 16 blocks to get bulbs? Was it stupid? Yes. Suck eggs, it was fun and worth it! Oh right, the plug under the hood. I got a pic if anyone can easily identify it. There was nothing unplugged before the light wire fiasco, now I got a dangling plug end a maybe a small dose of fury to contend with.

Right near intake box, what is it for? FFS that shop can eat rotted anus meat sammiches.

I'm a plug, but for what!?! ARGH.
Then in this video does it sound like something is off with transmission? Pedal is super high so I gotta figure out...that. But yeah, fishy sound or what?
