I paid $300 for corner balance + alignment at H1Performance in Vegas. Adjustments for street to track or track to street were $25 per visit. If I changed parts, he charged $60 to realign. Pretty bummed he retired.

Smaller updates, got sway-bar and coil-overs installed. Trimmed back the brackets for the trailing arms. Sheet-metal sheers made quick work of them. Installed e-brake cables and got wheel speed sensors mounted up. Still need to clean the bores with my dremel before bolting them to the knuckle.

I also randomly find myself looking at the pics on my phone... at ALL THE MEAT UNDER THE CAR

Looking good keep up the good work! My only comment for now and even though the tire will not flex into the trailing arm that far but I would round off those corners of the tab with a file.

And man those shiny Ohlins are making me jealous. I pulled my wheel off the other day to check something for a member and I was horrified to see what mine look like right now. Im sure theyll clean up fine but sheesh seeing all these pictures of shiny parts is making me a little jealous haha!

If he giving you the profile in a 3D model or just the geometry and up to you to get the profile right? I have a couple ideas of how I could model that with surfacing (CAD jockey IRL here...) but assuming he's giving you full 3D models and leaving it up to you to build.

Yeah I'll clean it up with a file just so it isnt sharp.

And I have not figured out yet if I ordered the bolt for the lower arm to strut and dint receive it, or just forgot to order it. Its the only not new bolt and frankly looks out of place haha. But that may just be me being OCD.

The bolts are fairly expensive but hey 15 bucks is a drop in the bucket at this point so just get it. Or dont because in a couple thousand miles you wont notice the difference anyway

I don't live in an area anymore where someone can get me a "hookup." I stopped taking my car to places like Firestone and Les Schwab after a few incidents. So, taking the car to a Porsche Motorsports shop or another Motorsports shop, they both came out to be around $500.

But hey! I didn't have to take my splitter/sideskirts/anything else off and they didn't do anything that made me angry.

And now, I just do my own alignments with Smartstrings and Longacre camber gauge. I also get to work on my car without having to worry about paying for an alignment and I can change the alignment as many times as I want.

I'm not talking about hookups or generic places. I'm talking about motorsport shops.

I've never ever been charged anywhere close to that amount for a motorsport alignment or corner balancing and I've had a ton done over the last 15+ years.

That price is insanity.

More small updates. Got brake shields sand blasted and repainted. Upon install I realized the AMS kit I picked up used on ebay calls for their removal. I monkeyed around and couldn't find a reason not to install them on top of OE shields besides weight. I also "ported" the ducts, got front calipers etc on. Thoughts?

Blasted. A fiend from High School runs a business. Also did Perrin mounts. Not sure if I will sell Perrin rear sway. Its a really nice piece. Might be better than the WhiteLine...

Painted with HT 2k Degree paint. Same paint I used for knuckles.

AMS shield over OE shield. No rubbing and maybe a pound of weight extra. I like the added functionality of keeping ball-joint/tie-rod/knuckled away from radiating heat. Also the wheel speed sensor mount is retained.

AMS duct installed.

Took evoM members advice, installed Cusco mounts in reverse with low pro bolt and without lock washer. Just used thread-locker.

Garage Shot

Disassembled exhaust. Old hardware was rusted and beat up. Have new hardware and gaskets.

I also called AMS who is local to me and got a quote through a 3rd party shop they use for corner-balance/race alignment. Quoted about $500. A buddy runs a speed shop and he quoted me more, but I'm sure he'd cut me a deal. So that's upcoming. Still have to do rear e-brakes and calipers. Then install exhaust and should be a driver.

I may just wait because I want to remove AC and do some weight reduction. We'll see...

I also ordered new high-temp tubing for the ducts. Want to do ACD pump relocation to trunk before I install tubing. I also plan on getting some bolt marker so I can quickly distinguish if any of these critical bolts vibrates loose. I need a few items to finish the rear like copper o-rings for line to caliper(I know I ordered 8 from mitsuparts.net but only got 5 -___-), exhaust hangers, and want to replace the bleeders on all 4 calipers.

Omni in Kirkland will do a proper full car alignment for less than $150 and they have been used by many of us locals who track for years with no issues. The corner balance and ride height adjustment I get done at my regular shop in Redmond and they definitely aren't charging $350 for that.

If you take it to the uber pricey "Motorsports" shops on the eastside then sure they are going to make you pay while you look at whatever exotics are also in the shop. No reason to when there are other good options out here.
