Good idea. I may copy that myself.

I'll be curious to know how those work. I have the same thing sitting on my shelves to replace the test pipe on my Evo.

I had the mini muffler test pipe on my Ralliart Sportback and it made quite the difference over a normal test pipe. I'm hoping this "double the mini muffler action" will help even more.

interesting setup - cat, mini muffler, mini muffler, full sized?

I'm always thinking about quieting down the car - I've got a cat (200cel mil.spec), which goes to a very decent sized muffler, im going to add a vibrant ultra quiet resonator to see if that does anything, hopefully without going to a mini muffler. I ran the dual muffler setup on my old car (muffler instead of cat, full size muffler) and it seemed fairly decent

No, and my patience is finally wearing thin. It's been at the shop for eight months now which is totally ridiculous. I go on vacation to the Russian River today until Sunday so hopefully that zens me out...

No cat. It's two mini mufflers and a magnaflow catback. I've seen zero difference in power output from the vibrant mini mufflers in the past so I wouldn't worry about that.

well I got the resonator (
Amazon Amazon
) - honestly I'm not sure how effective it will be, some good reviews, some bad but I figure with a cat & a muffler a resonator is a good next step.

just noticed ur dual exit & the sig - this is the X right?

What you linked to is a mini muffler and the same one I put in my exhaust and shown in the photo I posted.

Yes, this a Evo 10.

I know a lot of that was waiting on the machine shop to get the short block done, but damn. That's insane. I thought a lot of this down time was getting money together and selecting parts. Didn't realize they've had the car that long.

Yup. I dropped the car off at the shop middle of November last year. All the parts where with it the whole time.

The actual engine has been assembled and in the car for the last month. It's a small shop with only two guys working but at this point I feel like I just keeping get pushed off for other clients because we know each other (I tuned at the shop he used to be head mechanic at). I gave him a good amount of $ last month when he said it will probably only be two more weeks.

So, like I said, I'm now losing patience and once I get back from my trip this week I am going to become Mr. Assertive and get my car back.

Ohh.. didn't know which is classified as what lol. I'm assuming by the oval shape it's the one closest to the top of the pic/front of the car from your pic above?

It's the one towards the rear, in the catback section. The test pipe is a ultimate racing with mini muffler they source from somewhere.

Anybody know the thread size of the clutch slave cylinder hydraulic line fitting?

The AN SS line fitting from the AMS master cyl kit was misplaced so now I need to source a new one.

Also, the fitment on this kit continues to not be good...
