might see a diff, my friend did on his VIII turbo but you could just save the $ to put towards other items and the turbo isn't the funnest thing to take on n off...not the worst just not the funnest thing and if your taking it off etc. might as well do o2 housing and port your exhaust mani & coat it at same time..

but I just rambled off to a question that you decided not to ask

I have a PPI Swain coated and ported O2 housing that's brand new, when i bought the turbo they said i'd need one, NOT. The kit has a v-band downpipe, so if anyone is interested 200.00 and i'm willing to trade.

If you need a How-to, this one is good (pics and everything):

It's really not hard at all. I did all mine, along with switching my lines to stainless steel and bleeding the whole system out for ATE Super Blue in just a couple hours.

I'm not going to crack the engine open I'm just going to drop it in & I've thinking in a few months I might still buy that 2.3 stroker but also get his head too...that would be ****ing sweet
Saw the pics...good job. Rod bolts are cheap insurance with minimal effort(while the engine is out).
Did they figure out what popped the engine, it would be sad to see the new one bite the dust as well.

I'm not, because I don't have an Evo. Haha... No really, I'm not going... Vacation time... Sucks too, that weekend should be awesome.. Benny Benassi on Friday, Warped Tour on Saturday, GT Live Sunday... sigh. I will probably be at the COBB BBQ though, who else is gonna go to that?

They just pulled the head, we will check it out more when we pull the block. Thinking possible oil pump failure, rod bolts, cracked or bent rod. I'm really not sure, what do you think happened? If I were to do rod bolts then I might as well do the rest and build the bottom end with some rods, pistons, rod bolts and main studs now that would be cool
