For sure, any catastrophic failure will make anybody think twice about agressive tuning I was more or less agreeing with you about you're tune...not putting it down One key element I did leave out is when I was running that much timing it was on the stock cams. Since replacing them my days of running alot of timing was over....until the meth was working that is The '05 cars kick *** for some reason!
Yea I wasn't taking you putting it down at all I do want a more aggressive map but I kinda don't wanna do any tuning until I throw a bigger turbo on because I don't want this ported viii turbo on for too long. The '05 are sick

100oct is way to expensive that's why meth injection is sooo nice We probably have an effective octane rating around 100 running it straight 100%

o btw I finally downloaded that 96530006 rom and was going to start putting it together today. So your xml files are edited for 2byte load, ecu boost and the tephra mod right? Is the ecuboost control something you can just turn on or off like the tephra mod? And should I go ahead and install ecuflash 1.41?? I've been on 1.30 forever

EDIT: you may have to run ECUflash in developer mode to see all the tables.

In the tephra ROM, he has already made the 2-byte mods to the MUT table(no need to change anything)...xml files have no effect on the ROM(they are only for viewing tables)

If you want to use load based boost control just alter the tables in the " TURBO BOOST SINGLE SOLENOID" section.

A good read for load boost....

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...trol-mods.html

Direct Boost is psi based & requires the JDM MAP. to make this work the tables need to be altered correctly...

That info is in this thread on post #366

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ml#post5627574

This is also a good read...

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...t-control.html

You already have all the tables defined in the xml files, just alter the tables for whatever you want.

There is a chance you will get a PO505...no big deal it's an easy fix, just let me know & I can walk you through the process.

To get the IMMO working change the top value(0xffa) in ECU Periphery7 to 0x0058.

Hey I didn't know 1.41 is out....The only thing that wont work with 1.30 is the Periphery Bits tables(HEX tables will work) & you may have to change the endian to little. If you use 1.41 you should ONLY need to add the MOD file using the same instructions in the folder.....

19x8 w/235-35-19 Just for show and street (these are only 1.7lbs heavier than my stock setup), I'm going to run 18x9.5 for the track.

ECU boost control mods

how-to: ECU-based direct boost control

This is also a good read...

The stock ECU has gear dependent boost control!

Yea I've got it in developer mode and just took a glance at my map. I updated my ecuflash, I had to install service pack 3 for xp cuz it's "recommended" you do so before installing ecuflash 1.41 I don't know if I'd fix the immo code or not..guess I could. So yea I need to do some reading because yea it's confusing and I need to add the tephra v5.10 tables to the xml and I need the p0300 fixed and might fix the p0401 too cuz I don't have any vacuum lines popped off but since it did that one time I cant get the p0401 "egr insufficient flow to go away"

So I'll play with the 96530006 right now for a few minutes before I go out tonight. I might be asking you a few more questions

EDIT: So wtf why is there a 96940011_Mods.xml and a 96940011.xml files?? did you seperate the mods from the base xml file? or they supposed to be serperate? I don't see the tephra mods on my 96940011 map
