Welcome to Utah!

I don't recommend Modern. No experienced mechanics left there IMO. I took my car in for a simple adjustment to my coilovers ... and they scared it up bad.

Cobb (experienced folks from Modern are all there now). I take my car (S2000) to Utah Imports now for all race prep and mechanical work. They primarily do Audi, VW and Porsche ... but they also do race car prep. In my experience (over a year now and lots of work) they do excellent work.

What do you guys think about the EVO RS?
I own one and like it a lot. Its lighter than all the others, which is ftw. The lack of power windows and locks doesn't bother me, but could be annoying for others. I also like that the dash is ALL black. None of this cheap painted plastic crap, just cheap unpainted plastic crap! lol. But i really do like the all black dash.

Its easy to put in a radio and speakers, and I didn't want the normal IX (steel roof), so my next option was an MR at $32k, so i went with the RS. I also like the black mirrors and door handles.

Anyway, i really like mine, you just have to ask yourself if you can live without a few creature comforts.

So it comes with no radio, no power windows, no power locks? I was thinking about buying one as a second car, what did you pay for yours?

Don't worry, you're not missing much, that's pretty much the whole story.

I got mine at Southcoast in CA for 26,999. Correct, none of those things. But the positives are: aluminum roof (only MR and RS), alum fenders, hood, door beams. 150ish pounds lighter than the MR. Thats like 1.5 of my wife!

Also, 300 whp can be had with only a full exhaust, a boost controller, and a little custom flash (cheap if you live within reach of me and my super tactrix cable, lol).

SCCA does do a nice job and have events often. Lapping days is also out there, are a little more money, but you will have max track time. Open days are fun too once you complete the Torde (lame class they make you take).

I just flew down and drove it back, the beauty of that is that once i got it back here, the break-in was over! Shipping is like $700-900 according to the dealer.

Hi everyone. I know I don't post in here too often but I've been lurking a long time. It looks like my wife got me a set of Swift springs for Christmas. (yeah I know they're not coilovers but I'm not racing either). Anyway, I'm assuming I'll probably need an alignment after i get the springs on. Can anyone give me a recommendation on a good shop for the alignment? I may also consider having them install the springs while they're at it. Any suggestions would be great. Do I even need to worry about an alignment? TIA
