dude obviousely the only reason your car is so much fun is because on top of the 4 psi of boost, you also have like 25 lbs of vtech and if you add it up that makes like a combined 29 lbs...

 

i know i should have realized that.

 

Jake, there are the cams you should have bought. Too bad just a little to late.

 

People are swapping those out for S2s and S3s... The old GSC cams are old news just like the HKS cams, the S series are replacing just about every other cam except the insane ones like Jun. In the track racing community, that is. 280s is far to intense for me.

hey whats up people? I havent posted on the Evos in Utah thread yet, so thought I'd say whaddup! I'm Getting a few parts installed today over at Solid Autoworks- anyone here have work done there before?

 

yah they have done a number of things for me, exhaust intake, boost controller fuel pump, intercooler, and some other things. Paul and Noah are awsome guys they will take care of your car. oh and if you are there ask them about the ariel atom they have it is the most epic car ever and they are putting one together. its in the back of the shop.

I'm having a pair of Cosworth Mivec 272's, works valvesprings/retainers, ARP head bolts, ported stock turbo mani, SSAC 02 housing, and Walbro 255 fuel pump kit put in today Cant wait to be able to drive my car again! My car has been flashed for the cams and sitting in my driveway for the last month waiting on the mani to show up!!! How many people here going to Miller Speedway next month? Hopefully I can meet some other Evo owners in the area and check out their rides! Cheers

 

S1s FTW! Should be here mid-next week or so Both Nils and Ali (the current owner of the project EvoM car) swapped out their HKS 272s for the S1s and made better power and still don't require any work in the valvetrain (unless you crank the boost over 25, as usual). Ordered them from TK motorsports last Friday but it took until Wednesday for the payment to clear. 520 shipped, and then Ben's gonna do his elite install job and then Fick's gonna FickerFlash it. Then I gotta get some DTC-70s for my rear brakes and make sure my suspension isn't in need of a rebuild. Then it's time to chase down some Vettes and Porsches. I'm going out DJ Brett, dunno when for sure, but as soon as everything is ready I'm going to the first event I can! Hopefully its within the next month.

 

wow so you are doing some major stuff, i'm interested in how your car feels, go down to munoa's or cobb and get your car dyno'd/ dyno tuned!

 

Very cool! I have been trying to decide weather or not to get those cams. Guy's in Callifornia are making mad power on theose cams (361awhp on 91 pump gas)! Noah and Paul do good work. If you are interested in getting on the dyno shoot me a pm.

 

Awesome! Yeah, I would like to see what kind of power I'm making for sure! I'll definately post the butt-dyno results and hopefully I can get a real dyno to post some numbers eventually too- I have a Works p2e brain flash, so my boost is set at 21-22psi currently on a conservative tune- BUT I plan on switching to a Profec b-II when I install my aquamist HFS-5 I just ordered... that may take a little bit but with about 27psi I will be REAL stoked to see some numbers!
