updated wrx... what does this mean for the ralliart
Faster is faster, for a long time people were using that line in regards to the Ralliart so it's only appropriate to apply it to the Subaru now. Moreover, those are manufacturer produced numbers, they always tend to be slower than those produced by independent sources.
By all reviews, the WRX is a blast to drive, very fast, very nimble and very aggressive. It is essentially going to boil down to personal preference.
How will the Ralliart perform better in the snow? It's heavier (a big problem) and it doesn't have the added factor of a driver-operated clutch, a major advantage when it gets slippy (since you can take all the power away from the wheels without braking).

And BTW.....No offence to ambystom01 and Noize but how did we get a Subaru WRX and BMW 135i owner moderating a Mitsubishi website?
Lol something tells me an STI would absolutely destroy the Ralliart. Hell, the 08 WRX was a competitor, the 09 should have no problem.
I don't know. I've driven a few new WRX's (on and off a track) and bone stock the ride feels like a Buick. Body control is terrible. The thing really wallows in the turns and under breaking. But I did like the engine grunt and shift quality.

Most of the moderators do not drive Mitsubishis let alone lancers. Some (like me) have at one point however. We were made moderators because were chosen for one reason or another.
The stock tires are crap, complete crap. With new tires and an upgraded rear sway bar, I was passing Corvettes, BMWs and keeping up with Porsches on the track.

That is kinda unique on the net.
Funny how thing works sometimes. Well even if i could write perfect English, i couldn't handle the job. I'm too lazy for that.

So basically i don't really care who is a mod and who is not.
Only thing is really interesting for me , why those mods picked up the Evom?
Instead the Subi forum or BMW forum or chevy forum etc? Why they read and spend time on the forum they dont even have that car? And that forum suppos to be an enthusiast forum. How you can feel, the same way like those who actually owns the cars? How do they know what the car is capable of? Etc.
You get my point , in the good way?

"Zero to 60 mph comes up in approximately 5.4 seconds, a time aided by Subaru's trademark all-wheel-drive that splits the engine's 244 lb-ft of peak torque 50:50 between the front and rear wheels." quoted from http://blogs.thecarconnection.com/bl...ement-is-back/
I don't know where that 4.6 came from...

And it is very funny for me too
Seems he had a lancer before, but well, what I find interesting is that now he owns a suby, so its nice for balance to have a guy with a different perspective.
Those things only matter if you care about features over performance. Personally, I don't. I'd be happier if my car didn't have a sunroof (more helmet room) and complicated seats (so I could more easily change them).
It seems like the arguments used in defense of the Ralliart have flip-flopped over and over again. At one point the argument was "oh it's the better performer". Now we know that's not the case so the argument is "oh, performance isn't everything". What's going to happen if the WRX comes loaded with features in 2010 (say HIDS, Nav, quality sound system)?

Just looking at a bigger perspective, each car has his ups and downs, we cannot focuse only on perfomance, as we cannot focus only on features. Hence my post.
And well, talking about 2010 model years is all SPECULATION, funny but dumb in the end.
Its whats goes down in the NASIOC forum, talks about the whats gonna bring next year, finally HIDs, finally DI, finally DSG, hahaha, seems like prayers.
Except that it doesn't. In some reviews the STI is faster, hell according to Top Gear, the STI is faster, same with Fifth Gear. For a while, the STI was the chosen vehicle for a lot of reviewers, while they agreed that the evo was more hardcore, they still preferred the STI.
