^ you need to install an upper clutch switch. It is on here somewhere. I have tried NLTS recently and WOW! I think my clutch squelled when I shifted. I am going to try it out at the track this sunday weather permiting to see what the change in time is. It is definetly something to get used to. I am going to change my tps setting to 90 for the moment until I get used to not lifting.

If you guys want try the NLTS at say 5.5-6k rpms... You won't be so scared. It is a great feature and like everyone says, it is a smooth shift!

Is this OK?

This is my first time trying to smooth out my timing . The top pic is my current set up and the lower is my attempt at smoothing. What do you think? It seems to have too much advance. I don't want to find out the hard way, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't look bad, your 80 load column doesn't look right above 4000 rpm though, timing goes from 29 to 28.

You should be able to safely test that out on the car, just make sure you log a couple of pulls afterwards to see how things are!

Smoothing is going the right direction. Get it smoother and you'll be able to run more timing in certain areas. It takes a lot of patience to run a smooth and powerful map. The car will also drive so much better on a smoothed out map.

Thanks Raptord! I smoothed out the 80 load, I missed that. My eyes started getting blurry at that time at night on a 15" laptop

I did several pulls and I was getting 1 or 2 counts of knock (3k-6k rpm 220 load, but nothing major, until the 4th pull. I got 9-7 counts at 5500 to redline, timing at 10 to 15 respectively.

This time I actually advanced it in the 220-240 load 2k-redline to smooth it out. Is this in the right direction? In the past I'd retard the timing, but then the map wouldn't be as smooth, unless I start retarding the timing in the lower loads too.

On a partially am I suppose to smooth out the fuel map too? Mine looks terrible!

Thanks nightwalker! Run more timing in what areas? I'd love to do that! It is driving pretty good and I am getting some more power. Wish I learned about this sooner.

More timing probably won't help if you're knocking. Bring it back a bit while keeping things smooth. You might need to take out a bit of timing in areas where it already wasn't knocking in order to keep it smooth, but personally I'd prefer the smoother power as opposed to having a bit more but being more knock-prone.

here's mine for a 5857 on E85 hitting 30-31 psi.

i just traced a general area of where it hits sometimes and sometimes it doesn't (areas where it's highlighted in the same RPM side by side)

That looks very blocky, I'm pretty sure that could be improved on Drill.

si, i kept it blocky in the upper RPMs in case i wanted to play with the boost. it worked well when i was turning it up 2 psi at a time from 18 psi. it hit the correct timing everytime. i guess i just didnt see a need to change it.

that 7 block 100-160 load is trying to play around with the 2-step. i got rid of the knock that was going on there. only thing is, i cant get it to richen up there and the logs indicate im only hitting 5 degrees. any suggestions?

"lean spool" off?

the 5* result with 7* scheduled and no knk might mean high MAF temps or severe baro.

Thats a very steep lead from 5-6K, the 0 - 13*
