PATCH: KNOCKCEL+NLTS+AltMap (V4)
My apologies Dave, I didn't know it took time to re-enable. Kind of makes my point completely irrelevant and is far more simple!
I would love to try it, but
a) I don't think you have released a the updated patch for the UK ecus yet, and
b) I was hoping between you and john banks you would have the live mapping and your newly featured patches combined, and that wouldn't happen until you have settled on your final spec working patch.
btw. I still haven't been able to get nlts working!

Love the knock CEL, good work.
The NLTS doesn't work although I have a few other roms to try, just haven't had time to copy and paste all the tables over yet.
I am really looking forward to the Altmap patch for this ROM.

Hey Guys,
Just working on the last update to my ROM, quick question.
For the IX's out there would people prefer me to dump 1,2 and 3 timing maps in favour of just 2 timing map (one for low oct and one for high oct)
I already have done this for the altmap function, I'm talking about regular non-altmaps here!

I would think that going to 1 map on each side would most likely be the case when we go to interpolation. having 3 maps, then 1, would be difficult, wouldn't it? I think most people tune them all the same anyway. that's my vote.
I'm not sure i understand what maps are used, and at what time. So I don't think I have enough knowledge to say either way.
What I do is: during tuning I put all maps the same. Then, once tuning is done I put 1 and 3 back to normal.
I figure, if my car starts to get a little hot(or whatever the parameter for switching to those maps is) I'd like it to function properly. (I will be tracking my car this summer)
Again, I don't exactly know what each map is for, so I may just be paranoid. Any info that would help me make an educated decision would be... helpful.

In the past 2 months, more features have been added than ever before for the stock ECU. Its gonna be freakin' sweet.
2 maps gets my vote. 1 high - 1 low Octane maps!

<-- Highly anticipating map switching on the IX. Thanks for all of the hard work guys.
EDIT :: Just saw the previous post on wiring a switch for map selection on the IX. Great work guys. I'll probably jump on the bandwagon around 5.0.
Also, 2 timing maps should be fine since most of us tune all 3 sets of maps the same anyway.

LEAVE THE 3 MAPS THERE, that way when we figure out what the 3 do, you dont have to rewrite the rom, plus this was the car can function the way it was intetended.
Doesnt anyone know someone at mitsubishi and they can what why 3 maps?
