physically? they are 18s, if that's what you are asking. if you are referring to rolling diameter, the tires list at 24.8" but i THINK we actually measured them to be what is shown on the dyno sheet (it's been over a year and i forget).

lol. I meant the compressor and turbine wheels. Now that you speak of wheels and tires, I can see that my questions was far from clear. :-)

no worries. i'm just used to people trying to disprove VD numbers.. so my mind automatcially goes there. LOL.
i did not. i've never had the tubo apart and i don't believe MAP releases info on their turbos, if i remember correctly. i'd love to know, though.

has any one had any issues with surging?

got tuned not to long ago running 32psi on my ef4, took it to get dynoed and i was running super rich on pump gas... Tuner sent me a leaner map and the car surges when in WOT some times trowing an overboost CEL?

Just ordered ported EF4 turbo with basic bolt-ons for my Stock evo .
The setup is :
Stock long block ( 20k miles ) low mileage car
S2 cams with springs kit
1000cc Injectors
255 walbro pump ( I have 485L but im not sure if it fits on the stock hanger )
MAP EF4 full ported
MAP manifold
MAP 3" intake
HKS type R IC with Piping
HKS BOV
QM 8leg clutch

I hope I can make 400+ on 91oct pump gas and 480-500 c16 safely ..

I did 390 on 91, 470 on e85 with a 2.5 on a IX and mild cam, so you will have no problem.

weird that my sig didn't show up in that post. Jay @ Boosted Tuning and we built the car/tuned the suspension/etc at our shop JP Street Performance.

i'm very happy with the car. at the Omega Motorsports "auto-x" (a small road course, really; used the BW kart track) we had FTD over a 458, a few GTRs, a 996 Turbo and a bunch of upset STis.

... all on pump gas/low boost

Hey guys out of curiosity for those with the ef 2.5 what does the spool up sound like? Is it comparable to an fp turbo or does it sound likes stock?

Can't compare to an FP turbo as I've never had one, but my EF2 certainly spools louder than stock turbo. I like it
