I believe he kept losing a hose clamp, and is sourcing T-bolt clamps...

OK guys, as posted above, I'm having a boost leak issue as I'm spiking to 23 lbs VERY early but tapering down to 19. This turbo spools FAST.

To give you an idea of what's happened so far. I dynoed on the same dyno, same dyno settings (Mustang Dyno at MZM in Austin....very low reading to begin with....)

In May at about 80 degrees F. I did 271 HP and 260 TQ. Yesterday at 100 degrees F (yup, at 4:00pm that was the reading dammnit!) I did 297HP and 281 TQ. That was with a SHORT spike to 23 and a long taper to 19. This was done on 93 octane gas and no other parameters were changed on the car other than the addition of the WR.

I'm hoping to t-Bolt up everything here very soon to see if that clears up the boost issue and then I'll have better information for you. All in all, the car feels completely different. To me it feels like it's spooling QUICKER than stock and it wants to run. Mohammed at MZM had a smile on his face when he test drove the car afterwards and said "screw those gt30r and 37's , this turbo is great!"

Anyway, sorry for no more HARD information, but I will keep posting when I can.

Thanks,

Tony

Oh and j8, I'll probably give you a call later on tonight to see about buying those clamps from you.

Thanks for the offer.

Tony

Wow, sounds like a nice gain without tuning in the heat with a boost leak. Guess that's worst case senario I gotta pick up one of these soon!

Wow, white rabbit sounds promising. Nearly a 30whp increase on MZM's dyno with boost issues and this summer heat is pretty good.

Tony, are they planning to tune for 23psi of boost to redline? I'm anxious to see final results.

Wow almost 300 with the WR on MZM's dyno? that's awesome. For reference to others about this dyno...the owners shop car jdm spec-c ver8 STI pushed 317WHP and ran an 11.6 at the track!!! They have the video on their website. www.mzmperformance.com

"T", you're going to have to change your signature to "the bunny has arrived"

Great numbers! Mine were not that much more with the GT35R. Were you spraying alky at the time?

I think your going to start seeing this turbo (or turbos like it) to be THE pump gas turbo to have.. Even with my stock turbo, my pump gas numbers have always been pretty impressive compared to pump gas on other turbos (assuming you can maintain a flat torque curve and not let it fall off) which this turbo seems capable of.

I really want to see more information other than the heresay and feedback I've been getting from people I've chatted with recently.

I believe that was without the alky... however, with variables like the boost leak, it is all just a guessing game.
