Would the boomba be suitable to replace the stock pcv valve entirely?

I've heard some say that he stock pcv not only acts as a check valve, but meters air?

The 3/8 boomba restricts enough that the idle is controllable by adjusting the BISS..

My car drives 100% better after I cleaned it all out. I did not know it was that bad. The car feels like it is running a lot smoother and picks up noticeably better. I literally poured oil out of my intercooler and intake. Pipes were coated and bov was as well.

The oil coating on the parts also reduces heat transfer and could induce knock. It can also possibly damage sensors.

I got my new setup on and it seems to be working much better. Ill post some pics up later on.

Oil in the intake tract will cause detonation. I hope it wasn't ran like that for to long.

If memory serves, I hit one of those with over 100psi and no leakage. They work pretty well.

Has anyone tried switching to a less viscous oil to reduce oil pressure and had any success stopping leakage on their DBB FP turbos? I've tried quite a few things now and am about ready to just switch to JB turbo.

How much is your turbo actually leaking? Mine gets a little bit of oil in the piping, but it took about 6,000 miles last time before I really felt like it was time to clean everything out. And the TB still wasn't oil soaked. And I run 5w50 amsoil.

Longer than I would have liked to. Hopefully my new vent setup will resolve it or at least greatly reduce.

I don't think switching oils will assist the issue much less stop it. Hows your current crankcase vent setup?

My roms are set to flicker your CEL at 3 counts so if you haven't seen it lighting up I wouldn't be to worried.

Good thing is you got it cleaned now, and id recommend you check back on it once summers over to be safe.

Yeah it was getting some cel flashing/knock here and there but most of the time it was OK. Just felt like something was holding the car back. Almost like the ebrake was on lol.

Gonna need a retune for the 100+ degree weather anyway so ill be in touch.

Hopefully not to much detonation. Sounds good!
