they take the 8 months out and keep that part of the money. u get the rest.

 

I was stupid enough to buy the 10yr/100k warranty also. I heard that you can cancel it and get your money back. Let me know how much you get. I've had mine about 4 months now and that warranty isn't going to last much longer (if it is even any good now).

 

Yea I will let you know how much I will get back... I just thought if something brakes on my car... time for an aftermarket...

I'm generally satisfied with my '05 EVO MR. I have had a few minor cosmetic issues but I never even took it in for warranty. Anyway, the carbon fiber in my wing seems to be deteriorating very badly. It looks like $hit and I'm getting sick of it. The last time I went in for the 25K service I asked them to replace it under warranty. Well, it's been over 3 months and I have not heard from them. I called today and they can't even find the order... Also, they say that the wings are back ordered for months.... What gives with ? This is pretty intolerable as far as I'm concerned......

 

I dont think you'd be the first one.....try a different dealer

 

The wings I believe are really on a national back order. Some people are reporting to 6months before theirs gets replaced.

 

haha ironically i got a call today saying my replacement just came in. whats really funny is i ordered one from a different dealer 11 months ago which finally came in 2 weeks ago. so now the second dealer is mad at me cause they had to paint the wing WW, and i didn't even need it anymore. i don't feel the least bit sorry even after he said it cost them 210 dollars to paint it white. so if you need a WW wing warranteed call Don herring mitsu in irving tx

 

I waited 6-8 months for my wing and the another week to get it painted since they come white I guess. Did get it replaced with an VIII wing though

 

I went to my dealer 2 weeks ago and they ordered the wing that day....I got a call this past Monday saying that it was in, painted and ready to go on the car. It is getting installed tomorrow. I wonder why your dealers are telling you they are on backorder since it only took less than 2 weeks to get mine in and ready to go.

 

Because I think dealers are just getting them in. My wing that I ordered a couple of months ago just came in two weeks ago.

 

Well, maybe it's a good thing that they are getting them in. Perhaps has made enough replacement wings so there will be one for me soon.... In the meantime, maybe I should take off the wing..... What can be done with the holes in the trunk?

 

they wouldnt warranty my ww evo 9 wng too.. coz when i brought it in couple of days ago.. they told me that the crack on it was due to someody hitting it.. that sucks though..

 

My evo VIII wing was replaced within 2wks after mentioning it. They replaced my steering wheel also. I was on the last month of my 3yr/36k bumper to bumper too.

 

that's totally intolerable
