I went to get mine replaced and was told mine wouldnt be replaced sue to "excessive modifications"

I guess window tint @21k was to excessive for them.

Seems some people have great dealerships others like myself have crappy ones that just want to sell the car then get you out the door.

That's total BS. I wonder what legal avenues are available to address these warranty problems? I think waiting several months for a replacement part is totally unreasonable. .....

When I took mine off to convert it to all CF, I just put some electrical tape over the holes.

No water got in the trunk with that.

Maybe you can find some tape that is close to the same color as your car and put that there so you don't have 4 black spots from the electrical tape. FWIW

if you are warranting a wing, you will almost surely get a IX one now.

Since they don't manufacture the old Carbon fiber, Carbon fiber EVO8 wing, they are supposed to ask the customer if they can replace it with the ABS plastic, Carbon fiber EVO9 wing. Its posted on their TSB ....

it'd probrably be faster and cheaper for the dealers to just have the body shop reclear the wings. then you'll always have your VIII wing. other people on this forum have recleared their wings with great success and use a clearcoat that blocks UV better to hopefully stop these issues.

^^ Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know if it's possible to just re-cover the CF. The clear coat is bad for sure, but the CF beneath seems to be badly deteriorated or damaged... Can they fix this?

Wow! That wing looks worse than any I've ever seen. I am getting a new on in the spring. I have 2 friends that just got new ones in MD and they only had to wait about a month to get it in and painted. They were also asked if they wanted a VIII or IX wing and had no problem getting a VIII wing. Hopefully the replacement wings wont have the same problem.

Mine is starting to have problems. The wing is starting to look if someone took some sandpaper and sanded a spot the size of a quarter in the middle of the wing. The other part near the side is starting to change color looks like it is fading (spot).

Is the correct TSB for the wing TSB # 0351003 ??? I searched all lunch and this is the only number I could find and it was from an old thread so not sure if it is correct. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do Stoptech's pad bed-in procedure. It's most likely pad deposits on the rotor.
