My ES came with an EVO IX Manual (Go figure). There are two separate manuals, one for the car and one for warranty info.

You get seperate 2 books in your owner folder that comes with your 06 Evo. One is the "Owner's Manual". The other is the "Warranty & Maintenance Manual" - See p.6.

My wheels made it 18k miles with what I can only describe as a perfect alignment. It wasn't driven even remotely hard though. There is alot of info around here as far as knowing your rights when it comes to warrenties, after the dealer denies it.

So the inside was peeling, but how much tread was left on the outside? Just curious.

well i was told by the dealer that the alignment is cover by the warrenties only if they find that the alignment to be bad but if they do an alignment and it turns out nothings wrong then you will have to pay out of your own pocket.

the rest of the tire is all fine and dandy....... I still have plenty of miles left, but the inner end of the tires are somewhat bold and maybe by another 2,000 miles I will need to change them

soooooo, where can I find the stock tires for cheap??

I have an appoinment with the dealer on thursday morning,.... Im gonna tell them the 12k/12mon adjustment period thing and complain complain and complain
let's see how far complaining will get me.

I doubt you will find much luck. As the others said, that sounds like a typical stock tire and alignment. I just had Conti ExtremeContact tires put on. I'm not sure why you would buy stock tires unless you really liked them. That is the first modification that you kinda must do, I had fun with it.

Maybe if you rotate the tires, you can get another 5k miles out of them, which is still... alot for stock tires.

There is such a thing called rotating the tires. Maybe you should give it a try. Alignment under warranty is equally as stupid as brake pads under warranty.......

What's next? Washer fluid ran out too fast....go warranty it? No wonder the dealers are so stingy....noobs are trying to get wear items and issues replaced under warranty. It's a car....and when u drive it things get used up. That's the way it is.

So you warranty your shoes when they wear out too fast???? NOOBS FTL

i had the same problem with my front tires at around 7000 miles (just before i was goin to rotate the tires). south coast said it was because i should have rotated the tires every 5000 miles. i'm at 13,000 miles now and the tires seem fine now that i rotate them.

Common newb are you serious? even if you get an alignment I don't think it will make your tires last that much longer. The stock tires will not last so enjoy them while you can. If I was you I'll start saving up for some new tires....

If by 'cheap', you meant 'about $250 each', then any retail outlet can hook you up!
