I see you're in Florida... There's a thread with a couple of dealerships that are not suggested to go to and few that are. Best thing is to go into the dealership and just ask what will void out your warranty. The guy here said there's tons of stuff you can buy but bring it back stock. The parts guy told me today, as long as you don't mess with the o2 sensors and MAF they won't deny the claim BUT that's still not a gaurantee being they have the final word. The mods I'm doing I'll be able to put back to completely stock in under an hour.... Flash, mbc and short ram intake. I may try the cat back in a few months once I know the car isn't a lemon.

nobody can flat out void a warranty... they can only deny claims based on mods that might have cause damage to a part.

for example... no level of engine work can ever be held responsible for the sunroof not working right.

It really isn't up to the dealer it is up the the manufacturer. When you do warranty work you have to submit the work to the manufacturer to get reimbursed for the work. When I had mine in to get a trany leak fixed the dealer had mine and two others on lifts to show the Mitsu rep that it was the cars not the drivers that was causing the problem. At the same time there was a kid who went and got rocks in his rotors and they replaced them once. He went out and rallied it again and they said they wouldn't fix it the second time. Some dealers could say they wouln't fix it but that is because Mitsu says they will not cover the work. Just my .02

You'd be surprised. When I got my evo, the sales manager told me that if anyone brings in an evo that has been dropped they automatically void the engine and tranny warranty based on the assumption that if the vehicle has been lowered...its been raced and there fore has had other performance enhancing mods done to it.

I do agree with your logic though....but this is mitsu we're talking about. Bunch of shytes if you ask me.

Scare tactics IMO. That would be illegal. In order for an after market part to void a warranty claim it must be proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the part caused the failure or lead to it directly.

you pretty much void your warranty when you drive it off the dealer lol...
but seriously i went to south coast the first month i got my evo because i was being paranoid and heard some noise when i made right turns... i went to south coast and the lady said it would be like a 3 hour wait (WTF) so i said i would just come back tomorrow... she said if i came back tomorrow i would void my warranty for driving around like that. wtf? i came back the next day they checked it out and everything was fine...

perfect shirt. I still can't see how they will void a warranty on certain things. Your alternator craps out...but your warranty is voided because you have an intake. Dang, I figured going down pipe with stock cat and catback should at least make them somewhat happy. And worse comes to worse. I bought the vehicle with 10K on it...I will just say it was there to start! stupid dealerships.

With dodge I had an intake and exhaust and NEVER any issues.

Alot of dealer do not know what they are looking at. So they just pull out the shotgun and shoot. Not all dealers are that way.

I built this car for my dealer ship to sell. And its definetly not stock.
