Warranty denied! Do I even have a chance?

Checked my oil 3 weeks ago and i was a quart low. Filled the engine up and that was that. Come last sunday engine clicks and when i check, there is no oil in the engine. i burned off an entires engine's worth of oil in three weeks.
I fill it up and take it to mitsu. Blown bottom end and they are claiming that my Boost controller threw a rod and caused the oil burn off so my warranty is voided.

We want to take it to the regional rep and try to fight for the warranty claim. I didn't blow any gaskets and i did not over boost or over rev. Do I even have a fighting chance in hell at getting them to cover it? A healthy engine should not consume that much oil in 3 weeks.

Why didn't you take out the BC before you went in to the stealership?

positive. There is nothing itemized on my bill involving any oil change or anything. The owner even said "why would we change your oil?" when i asked him if they did. mitsu says its my boost controller that did it but it was probably the lack of oil the threw the rod. i need mitsu to prove that my EBC was somehow burning oil, or my exhaust was, or my intake was. this is a joke

when i was at mitsu i asked them and they told me "no gaskets were blown" and i wasn't over boosting or over revving the car. i babyed the **** out of it and the second mitsu can screw you they ask you to grab your ankles. With intake, exhaust, and EBC can anyone think of a good reason why my engine would fail like that.

my BC was set to stock levels. it wasn't even active because I'll crank up the boost when I get a bigger turbo. no need on the stock one. it was a cosmetic mod for the time being.

sorrt to hear what happen to your car.........however, it really doesn't matter even if you disconnect the BC........dealer always looking for "smoking gun" when they are asking for a big warranty work.

if your car is still driveable you may try to goto another dealership.

good luck.

They tell me my boost controller caused the problem and when my dad calls they say my exhaust did it. I was running catless and they say that was the cause. Sound like they don't even know why it did that and know are just trying to throw a bunch of **** at the wall and see what sticks

Doesn't the burden of proof lie with the dealer? Make them spend the $$ to prove it.

it wasn't even hooked up. all it did was give me a digital read out of my boost.

i do not understand how running a catless exhaust could cause my to throw a rod in my engine. that another thing they can't even pinpoint where the falure came from. they have not told me what the definate reason was. only spectulation.

Document the conflicting causes they have given you and be specific with dates, times, people and what they said. You have a chance...is this the dealer you bought it from? Maybe they will meet you half way and provide the labor or parts. Taking it to another dealer probably won't help because it should be in the system. You probably don't want to hear this, but when you mod your car you bear this risk.
