It was a pain in the ***! Resizing. Those pics are really High Res. Phew. Eh, it's worth it. After all it's the Evo.
Based on those figures the STi on 0-60 takes 4.7 secs.
"Faster and Better than ever, but lacks the delicacy of the Evo."

So we must ask ourselves ... what is the recipe for pure driving UTOPIA? Is it a fast car that is the KING in balance, precision, and overall handling ability, or is it a FASTER car that is # 2 in the other areas. Hmmmmmmmmmm ... the is still the KING if this review pans out to be the truth ... only time (reality) will tell. Thanks for the post Michael ... !

evo1 for me the answer is ALWAYS the car with the better balance of abilities. I actually have a deposit down for an STi, but I can assure you that it is HIGHLY unlikely I will buy the car. Come August, I expect a RED Evo to replace my Boxster.

Glad you enjoyed the article.

Is this a comparison of the Euro-Spec EVO and STI. Seeing how the US EVO has 271hp and the US STI has a 2.5 liter...

Both are Euro Spec Reviews.

Most Likely the next Evolution Stage...I expect a complete Re-design.

Interesting to Note, in that article they said if both Mitsubishi and Subaru don't refresh the Evo and the STi, they'll both fade out. Every decade theres a new Vehicle that will be the Next Evolution. Just like the Galant VR-4 in the 1980's, then the Evolution replaced the Galant in the 1990's, in the WRC. Maybe it's time for a new car?

Yes but the hp/tq specs of the U.S. STi and Euro STi are still the same ... regardless of the 2.0 v. 2.5L.

I didn't read the article but the the Euro spec STI dosen't have the same hp/tq figures as the USDM STI, they're considerably less, so I assume they're reviewing an STI with the prodrive upgrade package which brings it to about 300 hp/tq, but even then there are considerable difference between ours and theirs, such as DCCD, the active valve control system, and maybe weight (?)..

Are you sure that their version does NOT have DCCD and VCS
