But I was wondering how others have gotten seals from NAPA, when my NAPA guy looked at me like I was
growing a third arm out of the top of my head...
I had the exact same experience... I went to NAPA with the PN#. The guy in front of me has the face of someone whose heard something for the first time... So I walked away.
Then, I ordered the seals to Mach V with a new gasket and asked to have everything mail with a regular mail to lower the cost. The deal with them was just ideal, I've only good comments to give.

Those seals are on my car for over 10 months. So far no problem at all, they still hold boost like OEM seals should have

Well I've never seen them stocked but I'm looking at the box right here in my hand. It's a light green box, SKF brand oil seal, part# 3930 with "CR 10X14X3 HM4 R" underneath the part#.

Makes more sense now.
The "CR" is for Chicago Rawhide, which is the supplier NAPA said they use now.
"10X14X3" is the size.

Cool, I had never asked what the "CR" stood for but knew it had to have something to do with the supplier. Good luck

Remove the TB from the car, it will become much easier
Some hoses on the back side of the TB are a pain to remove but it will make your life much easier.

+ you can clean up the TB easier both side of the butterfly.

I used a "stubby" phillips screwdriver. Be careful putting them back on.. you can break them pretty easy.

works sells the throttle body shaft seals i installed them on my car when i found it to be leaking thats what it is for sure. when re-installing use a silicone based grease on the seals so it doesnt dry out and happen again.

A 7mm socket on a 1/4" ratchet fits just fine, I was playing with the lower bolt last night. I'm pretty sure it is not actually possible to do with the throttle body on the car. To press the old seals out requires some engineering.

Thanks for the write up.

Our custom spec seals are on the way, we should see them this summer some time... We will keep you guys updated.
is this problem just on the viii or the ix as well?...why would mitsu use 7psi seals on a car that boosts 20psi?...are they that stupid?
