Update:
Shortly after I made the fitment issue post I realized I should probably dremel that edge off and push the pump right through. I did however, leave a small edge where the black connector sits to provide a tighter fit. It actually worked out very well where the fit was very tight it didn't need a clamp but I added a couple of zip ties for a good measure.
I put everything back together, took me few cranks to build pressure and it fired right up. I am planning to take the car out for a base pull in the next day or two to note the difference in fuel flow with this pump.
I am running on a bigger feed-line (-6 AN), however, still on the stock regulator and return line. Is upgrading the FPR necessary and why?
Thanks

On to the fun part of the post..lol

note I left the edge by the connector slightly protruding

So I ran the car and took it out for few pulls with the new pump and bigger feedline, surprisingly it isn’t running any richer … maybe 0.3 richer than before but that’s about it. I am on a stock 2.0l block with hta86 at 29psi and PTE1000’s.
The FPR and return lines are stock. Any thought on what I should look into?
Thx

It depends alot on what the conditions were before. Pump gas? Walbro 255 before?

Also, that ziptie arrangement to hold the pump looks pretty dicey. Is that all that's holding it? If the pump is able to work its way down, there's a good chance for fuel leakage around the pump seal and loss of fuel pressure and flow at higher boost.

ya I am on pump gas and was running a moded wally 255.
The pump is very much secured in place, but I will double check to be sure. Any thoughts if I may need to upgrade the FPR?
Thx

FPR upgrade not needed, but you should tweak the fuel pump full voltage crossover table to slightly higher loads.

If you were previously on pump gas with a modded Wally 255 that was in good condition, then I'm not surprised that AFRs did not change. The 416 is only needed for E85 or really big power on pump gas.

The single 255 was being max'ed out hence I upgraded to the 400.
Do you know where I could find that calibration you mentioned? under which sub catogary..etc and what would you expect it to read?
Thx

I'd be a bit surprised if it was maxed out. What whp and boost at peak power?

The fuel pump voltage control table is probably not in your list of definitions. You'll need to do a search in the ECUFlash forum.

On a cool night it puts down 500 at around 28-30 psi according to VD. and on a summer day its around 460 at 27psi.

That's not a problem for a Walbro 255 in good shape on pump gas. It would be if it were E85.

not sure of the difference between the 400 and 450, but I am running the pump with the last 3 digits ending in 262.

speaking of which, are there any differences between the 400, 416 and 450 or 460? I see so many different model numbers people use around here.

Those running this pump with an adjustable FPR, what base pressure are you running?

Unless you are trying to extend the flow range of your injectors, you're best off sticking with 3 bar (43.5 psi) base pressure.
