Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
I'm just hoping the US gets the final version (9.5) of the Evo that the Japanese market is getting. I believe it is due out in Japan in the summer, so maybe they can send a few copies over here.
nice find, that means there will be some people evo hungry and this might boast the sales for people wanting to privately sell and those dealerships left with a few 9s on the lot.but i was at a local mitsu dealer the other week, they had 3 on the lot 2 9 MRs and one 9 gsr. either way i think the 8 and 9 still have a better looking exterior over the 10 and i will be holding on to mine
im thinking it wont be that great, with the paddle shifters. only people to have that working damn good is BMW and audi, otherwise i can remember my clutchless auto rsx with shifttronic is was garbage no way can compete with BMW and i see how my friends altima ser and his fathers auto 350z is. its not the same. you get what you pay for. imo mitsu has a damn good car now which was the evo 8 and 9 here stateside. its manual keep it that way. if you want a clutchless auto to manual tranny that performs like a manual hop in a BMW. i was in a 04 i believe m3 my friend owns my god its like a manual. no one can compare. and i dont think anyone would pay for a 40 thousand dollar evo. imo
I just talked with the local rep here and they are still talking about building 07 IX's with new badging and are even considering a special edition which will be come with a 6 speed. Take it for what it's worth I guess. I highly doubt there will be a year without the evo before the X arrives. Maybe low production numbers, but it will still be available.

Won't decide until I drive both. I'll probably buy the one that is considered the strongest. I like to drive aggressively and not have to fix broken parts.
I see nothing wrong with the paddle shifters as you still get to decide when to shift but it does take you remove you from the acceleration process a tad.
I don't buy the fastest cars I buy cars that are fun to drive.

Don't expect this car to hit our shores before Oct. 2007.
