there are plenty of all aluminum blocks out there puttin down some hefty power. It'll be interesting and will take some time before it has as many mods available, but i believe in technology... just think back about the 4 cyl and what its potential was... you think they imagined 286 stock HP from a evo IX years back? Dont think they did but look at whats available with technology... its gonna be good.. but i think it wont be worth getting for power mods for a few years under its belt. Just IMO

Over here in BC Vancouver, the dealerships are also taking order! i put down deposit already. Apparently 350 evo x will come to Canada on the first shipment. 20 pre-orders has been made according to the dealer...
it was parked in front of my house in my driveway. my garages are full for a few more days. i have to move my gto into the big garage after i get the eclipse out and my maxima out to free up my main garage for my gts. i have cameras but there infrared only works in main areas if they would of been within 3 feet of the car they would of light up. im going to call up the goon squad to watch the street lol.

i mean no bash. I heard from Sport compact magzine, road drives, they say Evo X felt like slower than IX.

well i guess if people are already spitting on my GTS it must mean that its so good looking its making everyone jealous for a hundred miles, so that will tell you how sick the evo x will look. i just wish people would grow some ***** and try doing that while im looking.

If you are going to sit here and just say that the 4G63 is just some "two liter", you are alot more ignorent than you seem.
Yeah, which is why B series Honda engines and Audi/VW 1.8T engines make as much power as easily and are as strong as the 4G63, right? After all, aluminum four cylinder engines have always been proven to be the strongest....
How much power have you ever made with a 4G63? Do you even know what the record is for power on a stock bottom end? ****, have you ever even tore down an engine, or even seen and compared a 4G63 rod to that of an SR20DET? ALOT of people have been making tons of power on the 4G63 for years, many with stock internals. Tell me, what did you drive before you owned an Evo?
Is it over your head for me to explain to you WHY the 4B11 was created, or is that over your head?
Have you driven a V or VI? No, you havent.
They are all the same size, 2 liter since inception. The engine was redone and reversed after the III. The rest of the car, the balance and feel, is what made the VI more raw than the VII/VIII/IX.
And just because an engine is all aluminum does not mean it will "blow up." Will it notbe able to handle 35+ psi and 1000 hp? Probably not, but how many people do that with the 4G63?
If you say alot Ill laugh in your face. You want a horsepower pissing match, go buy a Supra.
I could get into how a design team can create an aluminum block with the same factor of safety as as a heavier cast iron block, but I figure that would be way over your head.....
I remember reading something like that in the April issue of SC Mag. You have to remember that was the concept car not the production car. I can't remeber where I saw or hear it but one of the designer was talking about the new evo X and said it will be the best evo so far.
Just look at the history each new stock Evo performs better than the previous one.

Except this one will be more powerful, 50+ lbs lighter, and reversed so the turbo will be closer to the firewall which will help balance the car. Any thing to help reduce the 60% front weight distribution.
