Evos should be straight uncut gangsta lean rally stage style. Anybody who would want any of those things is weak.
Ehhh not so much. The typical evo driver loves the rawness of the Evolution, that is why we bought it. A DSG automatic gear box is way too sissy for many people who prefer ol fashioned gear box. It would really take away from the driving experience and would be quite a large step away from what originally made the Evo so cherished among enthusiasts. The Evo is about precision, excellent feedback, i.e. driver-car telecommunication. Some ***** *** automatic slush box has no business being in an Evolution.

You really have no clue on what you're talking about. A DSG transmission is basically a manual gearbox with the shifting process done automatically and there is no torque converter. I don't like the idea of the turbo behind the motor. Look at the 3KGT vr-4 as an example. It is not uncommon for the rear turbo to glow in that car while the front is fine. A turbo timer is going to be a must for the X.
The majority of you have always been wrong when it comes to predicting what the next Evo is going to be like. Your negativity assures me that the X will be awesome. Don't make me drag out the evidence it will just make you look stupid.
the same exact thing happened with the IX. most of us wouldn't have bothered at first but we learned and now most would trade our VIII's for the IX. i think the X will grow on us as well.
by the way, i went the NAIAS and wasn't allowed up there. jerk! also in my pics the X was dirty, there were scuff marks on the doors etc. they didn't even display it like it was something special. i also agree with the comment that the lancer and evo are closer alike than ever. i was really disappointed with mistu's displays or lack there of.
